...He weighs 215 pounds when he started and is now only 218 pounds and he said he trains 6 x(wk) .I told him his issue was his calorie intake (3200). 3200 I explained is what i used to eat before I ever cycled....
As CanuckBR has stated "It's complicated", however, 3200 calories/day to build mass for someone in the 215/220 pound range is less than maintenance, depending on their activity level. I tend to pick the weight I want to achieve and try to eat at that level, taking into account activity level.
Also what is the reason for training 6x/week?
