Cowboy's Switch the Darkside

Was reading another thread and someone mentioned a 45lb plate they used not weighing 45lbs... got me thinking yesterday, when I was pulling then plates off the bar after squatting I noticed someone wrote 50lbs on one of the plates. I didnt think too much about it at the time. Then pulling the plates off the leg press after doing calves I found another one saying 50lbs machine ise only... so basically there are a couple plates floating around that are 50lbs not 45lbs. I had 1 at 2 different locations so I squatted 5lbs heavier on 1 side lol.. I will have to be mindful next time

A great day just wish I kept moving up on deads felt like my day. Will post video once edited.

So I deadlift 3 times every 2 weeks. Next week I deadlift Monday and Friday. A week ago Friday I tore the skin off my thumb. I cut the flap off and felt it was good. Yesterday at 405 I ripped it open again and started bleeding pretty good. Chalked it up and pulled 455 and again made it worse. Had some cleaning to do on bar and platform and anything else as I continued to lift.

To get to the point any suggestions on protecting the wound so I can continue deadlifting as I plan? Tape the thumb maybe?

Tape + straps until it’s healed

I'd just use the straps till it heals. That's one of the only uses I have for them is saving my hands. That and high rep accessory work where I need the equal lat activation like snatch grip deadlift.

30 mins fasted cardio, stationary bike.

I hate cardio lol, ain't mind walking outside but this inside stuff sucks.

I have to work about another hour then eat some more then get going to the gym before getting groceries. Should be Squat Intensity Bench volume not sure if I will do that or switch like I have been
