Cowboy's Switch the Darkside

Damn being a snow mexican as per @Worf sure makes it tougher to get PL gear. Found this getting my belt and the like. I think after the gym today will go see what the store has and am leaning to the Reebok Legacy Lifters. If not I have asked the place I ordered my belt from to confirm my size as they are European sizes and will get the Sabo Powerlifts.

Ok first off bought the Reebok Legacy Lifters20200108_143529.jpg

5/3/Amrap Bench

135x10
155x5
175x5
195x3
225x3 5lbs heavier than plan. Had another didnt trust spotter. 140lbs soaking wet, seen him pressing before me at 65lbs... i will live with 3.

Strict OHP
Barx10
95x8
115x7
135x3
95x10

Seated bent over rear delt raises
20x10
25x10
30x10
35x10

Face pulls
40x20
50x15
60x10

Funny I continue to research shit after i make a decision.
Measured the following
Height 70in
Torso 33.5
Legs 36.5
Tibia 20
Femur calc at 16 measured 18

So I have shorter torso than legs and longer tibia than femur. Based on longer legs to torso explains why squat shoes will help and struggle with depth and leaning forward. I am not really sure what the tibia to femur ratio means though

5/3/amrap squats first time with squat shoes

Barx10
135x10
225x5
275x5
315x3
365x1 RPE 10 not sure why.... shoes? Cutting? 8am?
275x5

Bent over barbell rows
135x10
185x10
225x8
275x6

Wide grip pulldown reverse order
250x6
230x6
200x8
180x10

Dumbell shrugs 2 second contraction
90x14
95x10
100x9
110x6 drop 40x12 slightly bent over

Looks like you had depth to me. Hip crease below top of knee, unless in the USAPL, then it’s ass hole to floor. I got the Addias powerlift 3.1 and really didn’t get much from them. Threw off my form. I guess they’re ok for bench. I like wrestling/boxing shoes

Hope so lol....

I actually like how they felt. Felt stable and solid. Its 3 rep week next, then 5 rep so time to get used to them before I push for a rep or single pr..Looking forward to trying them with bench next week

The 365x1 was high, the reps with 275lbs were good depth though. It's not mobility or shoes, I'd say it's just too heavy. If your mind gets shocked by the weight it's gonna try to keep you from going deep. Like a self preservation instinct.

I couldn't even point out where the tibia or femur is. All I know is they're bones.

Fair enough, I need to book a Lobotomy. Stupid brain is holding me back

Don't know if it's true or not, but I remember on an episode of Deadliest Warrior they did vampires versus zombies and they said zombies would have crushing grip because their brains didn't work to stop them from exerting too much force. Like they'd have no fear of injury. Kinda like the stories you hear of someone being high on PCP and running on a broken leg or something.

So maybe PCP preworkout is the answer. Or being a zombie. Or being a zombie high on PCP with a little halo and caffeine.

Love it, gonna start with some smelling salts before moving on to Halo lol..

I think my lift today is a combination of factors.
1. Shoes - not the shoes themselves but a change causing uncertainty so the brain again.
2. Working out at 8am after fasted cardio and only 1 meal. Also meant no ECA pre workout.
3. Stupid Brain and the weight. I have repped this weight before but have not been above 315 since tweaking my knee.
4. I am cutting hard now too.

Squat and Bench are the two I need to get my brain to quit over thinking it. I also want back on my drol then var
