Cowboy's Switch the Darkside

Well... once we get competitive beyond a certain degree as lifters the training looses some of its fun. Fun becomes that PR and everything else is just work to get there, then it becomes that total, then beating the last meet total. I believe long term for a competitive power lifter the only thing that keeps it fun is competing against other guy’s because competition against ones self can get tiring, lol

Well said and so true

Pretty bummed out right now. Woke up to an email this morning and my meet is postponed until end of November due to fucking Covid. The US can run meets safely but apparently Canada cant, fucking bullshit.

The time, the money, the sacrifice, the injuries, and the hard work for nothing right now.

I guess if I try and look at the positives, I can heal and get my tendon issues worked out, unfuck my squat, and maybe plan on setting all 4 Fed Masters records in November.

Other than that pretty negative thoughts about it.

Oh no, you’re not getting out of this that easy. Youre doing a mock meet on the same day in June like you originally planned. video all your attempts and post it for us to evaluate. 6 weeks out, continue training

Kidding, kinda. lol

Lol 5 weeks actually. I am pissed off, rough first prep for nothing.. but did learn a lot. Cycle run for nothing need to order another lol....

Even the North Americans have been moved from here to US for same reason. Our Nationals are ago with an outdoor venue as a back up

I would definitely do a mock meet if I were you all things considered. Give yourself a good idea where you’re at and don’t let the cycle go to waste.

I listen to King of the Lifts (Canadian powerlifting host ) podcast and they talk about everything in Snow Mexico being back on a full lock down except Saskatchewan. I mean where I live you don’t even have to wear a mask in most places unless theres just a specific business that requires it, usually hospitals. Many people still wearing them, about half of the US has taken at least one round of the vaccine. I just can’t see how it’s so much different in Canada. I mean the entire country is spread out far wider than most states in the US and there’s at least 5 states that have populations greater than the entirety of Canada

Yeah we just started pretty much 5 weeks full lockdown in BC. Us Firefighters havent even been vaccinated yet. But hey we are first in on medical calls up close and personal with Covid and nope lets vaccinate the old, the homeless, and the inmates first and then boom no vaccine left and we wait.. I got to say every day that goes by I start hating it here in Canada more and more, used to be proud to be Canadian, now its a bit embarrassing

The majority of our population is in one or two provinces and our government has shiet the bed as far as controlling this thing.. not to mention the lack of vaccinations going on..

Frontline workers should've been the first to be vaccinated..
