Hey All - first post in this particular forum!
I'm in the middle of shedding a lot of excess weight. Doing it very slowly/carefully as not to lose any muscle in the process, and also as a change in lifestyle. No fad diets here. Just proper nutrition. Went from a latenight junkfood diet to 6 smaller meals a day combining protein and carbs, with more starchy carbs on training days, less on cardio days, none on off days (carb cycling).
Short version - I've already dropped 25lbs in the last 5 months, and gained 5lbs of lean muscle.
Anyhow, I'm considering Creatine and thought I'd come here with some questions. I've just seen too many contrary arguments in my research to feel like I have a handle on it, so I thought I'd just start bare here and see what kind of feedback I get.
- Any recommendations on a good brand/creatine product? Like my Whey protein, I'd prefer it as natural as possible.
- Any thoughts on cycling it? Timeframe, doses, etc. I see that most people who have had good success with it have treated it like AAS to avoid their body adapting to it, and seem to do it a couple times a year.
- Any added ideas/opinion?
I appreciate the opportunity to be here and even ask these questions, so thanks for the great forum!
