Dallas McCarver... DEAD!?

I recall reading that he passed out onstage at the Australian Grand Prix this past weekend... Probably a warning sign that something wasn't right
Pure speculation at this point. He had a respiratory infection(pneumonia) and then ran antibiotics after and no problems since. I don't believe his infection had anything to do with his passing.

No where... I was told I would receive a PM twice about this alleged speculation direct from his "coach", I never received it. Rumor mill... "Blood clot from insulin" doesn't even make any sense, anyway.

I sent it, obviously didn't get it. Honestly wouldn't know for sure except it's been told and checked he choked on his food and never gain conscious again.

Maybe a fake name
Who knows

Slin or food choking or any cause

He's dead, and should be a lesson for all of us

Extremes are never good.

Um, how is eating and accidentally choking an "extreme"?

My guess was:
- Diuretics - unlikely as he was no where near pre contest
- DNP (highly unlikely) - unlikely again, as he was no where near contest
- insulin (maybe) - most likely out of all of your unlikely causes. Guys at his level, and their coaches, know very well how to use insulin safely.
- hit a vein (highly unlikely) - LOL, shows that you don't even know WTF you're talking about

Speculating what was or could have been - especially when it's clear you have no idea what you're talking about - is pointless.

Yeah, that is interesting to say the least. This is a bit of a stretch but there have been correlations between hyperinsulinemia and impaired fibrinolysis and hypercoagulability.

Hyperinsulinemia, hyperglycemia, and impaired hemostasis: the Framingham Offspring Study. - PubMed - NCBI

"We found strong, positive associations between levels of fasting insulin and levels of [plasminogen activator inhibitor 1] antigen, [tissue-type plasminogen activator] antigen, factor VII antigen, [von Willebrand factor] antigen, fibrinogen and viscosity among both men and women in the Framingham Offspring Study," the authors write. "These findings suggest a mechanism for the observed increased risk for CVD associated with hyperinsulinemia."

"An enhanced propensity for acute thrombosis, rather than a direct effect of insulin itself, may increase the risk for CVD," they continue. Thrombosis, the formation of undesirable, persistent blood clots, occurs when there is a disturbance in the balance between the mechanisms that encourage clot formation, and those, such as fibrinolysis, that inhibit clot formation or dissolve clots.

"Impaired fibrinolysis, reflecting increased thrombotic potential and endothelial dysfunction, may be an important mechanism linking hyperinsulinemia, insulin resistance, and increased risk for CVD in glucose intolerance," the authors write.

Speculated by whom?

It was by some of the guys at gear'd up that knew him personally, that was before his publicist said he chocked on his food which seems to be the official COD.

Homie, they wouldn't have known it was a blood clot in a matter of hours after his death.

I never said it was a blood clot lol that was some jackass posting on the board lol come on now i know better than that [emoji23]

What they were saying was that he probably pined his insulin and passed out. That was way before his publicist announced anything, we had this info since early this morning before RX posted up anything. It started with he was at the hospital then they were posting up that he died and finally rx made it official.

@Wunderpus many of the guys on geard'up are ifbb pros all those guys know each other. Dallas has been on there himself as well. Its a great closed group only draw back is obviously it isn't anonymous.
