Do people use too much gear than necessary?

I definitely believe people take too much. But also, that’s their personal choice. Can’t read their mind and see why they want to push these certain doses. Nor do we know how their body works & what their blood markers look like. Or what the goals set are.

There’s a lot a variables… depends how ya wanna look at it.
Physically, mentally, etc.
Some people are hyper responders to gear.
Then there’s average responders.
And also people who don’t respond much at all compared to others.
For instance 300mg Test Cyp a week puts me at 1400 ng/dl peak roughly. Depending on sleep, diet etc. I can probably hit a higher level. But it’s been consistent around there.
I was taking 300 mg Tren E a week. Split 150/150 pins. Barely got any sides. But my labs got slammed even supplementing everything.

End of the day… people are gonna slam gear if they want to. Go big or go home!

Jk kind of … take care of yourselves. We all have one life and some day it’ll come to an end. Health & Longevity is key meanwhile maximizing yourself in the gym.

There has to be a saturation point, right? Imagine some guy who is huge but plateaued on 9 grams of gear. Maintaining a freakish body size but stopped gaining.

You think 10 grams is gonna lead to more growth?

*disclaimer: I think the saturation point is much lower than 10 grams for a bodybuilder of any size. Achieving freak status is based on other things too (genetics, unknown factors, etc. [all other variables remaining the same]). Imo.
Of course there is a ceiling. But more drugs equal more mass for the 99.9% of gym rats and novice competitors still holds true.

What changed between 1980 and 2020? The training? The food? Nope. The amount of drugs plus some new innovations on newer ones aka incorporation of absurd amounts of gh and slin.

Absurd GH and slin was in the 90's. Bodybuilders were already doing 4 grams of gear.

I've been called a fucktard for suggesting in 2010's things changed: CRISPR and myostatin manipulations in guys who get freaky big in a very short time but I'll take that criticism again.

Disclaimer: I also believe in mermaids.

What about mermans?

There has to be a saturation point, right?

I recall Kurt Havens mentioning this recently. At some point the androgen receptors become saturated and anything beyond that is pointless. Thing is, the more lean mass one accrues, the more androgen receptors there are to saturate, so it's going to vary based on size.

There was use alright. But the amount was far less than two decades later. hgh was absurdly expensive in the 90's and difficult to source. Slin was "dangerous" and used only afte a workout to help with nutrient shuttling. No you have gymrats runing 10 iu hgh minimum and slin in every meal on top of Lantus.

The amount of drug usage has exponentially grown and with them the walking monsters among us

Theres only one major study posted on AAS effects on brain function over the period of decades...like guys who have been on gear for 10+ years. And their cognitive decline from it was described as basically accelerated aging. (Didn't make them retarded.) It looked to be about 15% more decline than the natural gym goers so... Not too bad

Well, where I am from using and buying domestic steroids is legal. We only need a few twats dying due steroid use for the legislation to change.
Where I live it's not exactly legalized, but nobody cares about steroids even if someone sells them. Rec drugs that's big money and crazy risk.

The problem I see here is, my home country is an island and they were/are illegal, it was difficult to get them, and a vial of test could cost you easy £60 from brands you never heard before, 10 years ago. The country I live in now and have been for the last decade is an island too, outside the EU, steroids are legal and a vial of third party testosterone costs me £20. People using steroids recklessly affects the quality and accessibility without a shadow of a doubt.

With chinese sources available pretty much anyone with above average IQ can get it delivered for cheap. There are exceptions of course like scandinavia and such. But in general pretty much everyone else is fine.

Sounds like you've been at this a while, what kind of size have you managed to achieve? And Im not trying to be an ass, just curious.
How much food do you need now to grow?

Age ? And well said
A long time. I'm coming up on 48 now soon. The big 50 is on the horizon which blows my mind. I'm still healthy, my blood work looks good, organs look good in imaging - my GI system just cant handle the food anymore. I'm certainly not as big as I used to be, but I'm right at 240 now and fairly lean. I'm finding that I need to stuff down about 4200-4500 calories to see some decent growth. My food logs show recently that I can't get past ~3500 and so the scale just sits there.

Oh also when I mentioned my organs I lied. My prostate is massive. Urologist says I'll need a TURP soon which is fun. Runs in the family, though I'm sure all the DHTs over the years didn't help things. Now I get to be the cranky old dude that makes awkward comments about his prostate all the time.

are you taking a 5-ar inhibitor? is your estrogen in range?

Nah not taking any DHT blockers, but sure taking plenty of masteron over the years. My E2 isn't in "normal" range, but I keep it where I like it when I'm on blast, in the 50's. Seems to be the sweet spot for me, no side effects and sexual function is good.

You could use some saw palmetto and cialis for starters. As for digestion, sure as age goes by it diminishes and it's a pain in the as$ for many "mature" dudes. Nothing that cannot be fixed though, you just need to put the effort and money to get coached by someone skilled in the GI track and gut health. There are many guys thinking by just eating much they're covered when in reality they're pissing from their butts. What you're able to absorb matters more than how much can you eat. Anyways, i think 240 and fairly lean is already way impressive. You could still look awesome in that range by trying to get just a bit leaner in each blast than actually putting more size on your frame. Cheers man!

You can do as you wish.

The fact is, if a person takes more drugs, all other variables remaining the same, he will put more mass.
Still not true, I can see why somebody might think such is true and it even is a lot of times, but still a banket statement that just isn't accurate. More drugs can equal more problems, adverse health effects and how are you going to get more mass when you fuck yourself up from more drugs? From a harm reduction standpoint, it is just a reckless thing to say.

Why grown up ass men need help to comprehend simple statements?

all other variables remaining the same

That includes:
Training
Food
BP
etc.

No, more steroids means more steroid effects. Both positive and negative effects. Muscle gain and side effects. You can make an argument about diminishing returns but come on man, You really want us to pretend that taking more gear doesn't make you get bigger?
Its not a reckless thing to say, its a true thing to say, lets not kid ourselves here, we are adults right?
