Doc log

I should add that sleep has been shit and time was a factor so I didn’t do the assistance shit, only the main lifts.

I literally never sleep well unless aided....benzo+THC works wonders(refuse to do this all the time). I wish I could just get some normal, none aided sleep.

Hows everything feeling now that youve been back into it for a little bit now?

Things are feeling better overall. Feel like strength is much better than even just 2months ago, same with endurance. Elbow is relatively pain free almost 100% of the time. Knees feeling great. Shoulder mobility improved a bit. Low back is feeling better but not “normal”.

Good workout today. Everything was smooth. saw the doctor today about the results of my sleep study. I have about 95 episodes every hour so it looks like a CPAP is in my future. I really hope this helps my sleep bc it sucks to wake up more tired than when you went to bed everyday lol. On the plus side, my heartburn is so bad it’s been limiting my appetite. I’m sitting at around 208lbs right now which is perfect for me bc I can easily cut 10lbs in a couple days to make weight for a meet. Feeling stronger on bench and squats but deadlifts are weaker than before.

Think I need to get into an apnea study, too :( sleep sucks.

Glad to hear you're gaining some traction in the gym.

Doc said an episode is when you stop breathing for more than 10sec during your sleep. So basically, every hour that I’m asleep, I’m not breathing for as minimum of 16min or more. That’s why even if I don’t physically wake up at night, I’m still shot in the morning.

I did the take home sleep study test. Was pretty easy to do, not inconvenient, and know what I’m dealing with now bc of it. Talk to your doc and see if you should have one done. Hopefully I’ll be getting the machine soon and I’ll let you know how I sleep with it.

I fucked up the order of lifts bc I was t paying attention. Started squatting instead of starting with bench. So instead of squats to break up a long bench session into two smaller sessions, I just did them as one long session. Dips feel better now that I’ve lost some weight and been back in the gym regularly. Didn’t have my chain for weighted dips so used a green band instead. The way the plate was swinging and bouncing def made the dips harder than regularly weight dips. All in all, Felt like an easy day

What a brutal fucking session this morning. Finished work at midnight, woke up 4:45am to take the girl to work, went home at breakfast, got ready, was at the gym before they opened. Knees were creaking and popping but got through the double squats and bench. Did some extra lay pull downs and bicep curls. Now off to work another double.

So after last saturday’s Session, I had some pretty severe knee and quad pain Sunday through Wednesday. Bob led up and down stairs one at a time, couldn’t bend my knee, etc etc. talked to POB and he thought I strained the quad muscle enough to tighten it up which then pulled up my on my patella. Then it filled up with some fluid underneath. He suggested compression and a light squat workout. Skipped Monday gym went in Wednesday and did 225 on squats for 3 sets of 5 after doing voodoo floss and some lacrosse ball work on the muscle. Wednesday felt good. This morning the swelling was gone completely and knee felt good. Went back to my normal workout.

Decided to eat good today. Insalata de mare and a Kobe beef burger. Salad had crab and lobster meat, calamari, shrimp, octopus, and some veggies. The chef snuck me a piece of braised beef short rib hidden under the salad on the burger plate. Doc ate well today.
