Does Anyone Workout At Home???

The hexagon db's would be handy but economically you cant go wrong with adjustable olympic db handles. I got mine from jesup gym for 50-60 dollars(dont remember exactly) but they really saved alot of money and work great. B/n my power rack and the db's I can cover all that an amateur lift for the love of lifting guy needs.

power tec makes good stuff i got the work bench set up and the leverage sqaut. Its a nice change up once in a while.

I worked out on body solid equipment for years, cant hurt the stuff. All we had was a lat machine and a squat rack, and abouth 1000lbs of weight, db's 5 to 120 hex 125 to 200 fixed.Really good quality stuff.

in this gyms there has been no mention of any video game system nor running madden score boards. when you guys talk about basic it stuff you really strip it down

I bought my parabody power rack and about 450 lbs of olympic weights/bar and bench for like $350 bucks out of the local tradin times..that cost less than a years membership at me local gym. It wasn't all shiny and new but that aint important to me. I don't use dumbells so I've been good to go..must have bought that stuff about 10 years ago..been in use just about every day since..

u might want to take a look at some powerblock db's.
i've had a set for 5-6 years now and they're great as long as u don't throw em on the ground or something...if ur one of those guys that like to drop the db's from incline position to the floor i wouldnt suggest them tho.
15-125 lbs (in 5 lb increments) in a rack that takes up 2 square feet.....u just slide a pin in and out to change the weight.
Hey bro,

Can you drop a link as to where to get these 125 powerblocks? I've seen newer models that don't even reach 90, but 125 would be ideal for me. Thanks in advance.

I have power block dumbells and they are awsome. I could not think about working out at home without them now. it all fits in a small space. I can change weights in one second, so I can do drop sets easily. Down the racks just as easy. They are sturdy, and strong. Its better than changing the weights on adjustable dumbells and everyone knows that sucks.

I also have the vulcan squat racks from ironmind. These are strong, and they also take up hardly any space. I do everything on these, squats, benches, inclines, militaries, rack chins, and I also have the dip attachment and do dips and parallel pull ups. I also have the pillars of power spotters, which are very strong and seem even mmore strong than the pins in a power rack. I do all sorts of stuff on them, from having them spot every exercise, to doing rest pause curls on them, loading my trap bar, doing the hip belt squats off of them. Partials, the list goes on and on. These equipment, I can just put them up to one side of the wall, and I have alot of space still in my dining room when I need it, and when I need to workout. Yes, these equipment prices were higher than the others, but they will outlast the others and they do all I need them to do.

I saved money years ago by buying my powerblocks from www.home-gym.com. I saved money on shipping there, but the blocks still cost the same from www.powerblocks.com. Plus when I brought them from homegym, I also got some free vids, and some free protein. I dont know if they still offer the same deal, but you can always try. Just a tip on where to buy them, to save a lil shipping with some added stuff thrown in. All unless you can find a close dealer near you, so you dont have to pay for shipping at all, but then the tax will get ya. But good luck on whatever choices you make.

Can anyone share any experiences regarding building their own gym equipment? (power rack, Incline/decline press, etc? I found a good welder, now I just need blueprints. I'm living in India and they're trying to rape me. I need to set up a home gym because the gym's here in Hyderabad totally suck!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

My home gym is composed of free weights (two dumbells, one barbell and plates of various sizes and weights), a bench, leg press machine, a power cord machine, chin-up bar, and boxing equipment (heavy bag, speed bag, jump rope, and gloves). So far I have found this to be all I need, but it has taken some time to acquire. In the long run it saves money on gym fees.

Guys,

Can anyone share any experiences regarding building or having manufactured their own gym equipment? (power rack, Incline/decline press, etc? I found a good welder, now I just need blueprints or someone with experience to show me the way. I'm living in India and they're trying to rape me for the cost of home equip over here. I need to set up a home gym because the gym's here in Hyderabad totally suck!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Look On Ebay!!!

You can find all kinds of stuff there-you just have to look there pretty often.
A safety squat bar just sold there the other day for about $135.00 plus shipping.
Leg presses (like Cybex) often sell for maybe $800.00.

Be persistent in searching and you will find something you like for cheap.
