This isn't going anywhere. It's clear that nothing I do will be good enough for some on here. The reactions and behaviors drive home what some think of Millard's goals presented clearly on this site. Just no one ever thought someone would take it this far. Interesting to observe.

It is not his way/style of doing things, especially since this donation idea was his spiel with anyone who had just turned up on the forum to ask where to get gear from.

So he was trying to make a point with it, I suppose, rather than telling them to pay $10 to have access (I would think the owner ain't particularly happy about it, lol).

You did it your way and more money was raised than it would otherwise have been.

You would all be surprised how fast this argument will die if the enhanced testing discussion is kept within this thread and the database one.

If the spamming on vendors threads and every other gear related thread stop, I am 101% certain, the name calling, the back and forth and all the shenanigans between the ET advocates and the rest of us will go to zero.

Strange, I did just that and quit asking vendors to do more testing if they already declined. Tried to come to a compromise. Well here we are. Of course someone had to reach real low and make a deal out of the donations stuff when there was no vendor spamming. There was no issue. Proof positive this conflict only ends when the enhanced testing initiative ends or someone goes packing. Look where SS took our argument, lol.

For those keeping score at home, here's the real crux:

Millard owns the board and if sources opt to leave Meso and he looses the income from the Sponsor fees, I would really be interested in his reaction.

Suggestion:

Since this forum is first and foremost dedicated to HARM REDUCTION and NOT a source board, as you have repeatedly stated, it will save a lot of time and hassle for everyone, if you make Enhanced Testing MANDATORY for all sources, old and new alike. It will be inline with the forum ideology as a HARM REDUCTION forum. A grace period of say 2 months to comply and BAM you have all this noise die down, and a satisfied community.

But I did ask admin to delete two posts of mine on a thread (it was Spaceman's, lol) because they were off topic.
I just replied to someone who said hello and is here infrequently but I know Spiff was not pleased about off topic and so I had them deleted.
