[SIZE=-1]L'Equipe's new stance, if the Dessous report is true, bothers me because it's the one thing worse than external censorship: internal censorship. When the paper's journalists hear an interesting tip, now they can't follow it, because it's been deemed outside the charter. Many critics have pointed to the too-cozy relationship between l'Equipe and the Tour through their ASO parent, mentioning that it always seems to be l'Equipe that gets the scoop on a positive test at the Tour. This is the flip side of that coin, and I'd argue it's every bit as disturbing, even moreso....[/SIZE]
