I've noticed a troubling trend over the past few months: Meso's retard population has been increasing at a faster rate than that of the bright population. I think it's because we've been too lenient with new members, especially the stupid ones. Whatever the reason, it looks like it's time to take out the trash, as it were. Things need to be cleaned up around here, lest people start thinking this is Eroids.

I havnt even been over there in a week and some how I got banned this week. It's been happening to a lot of members. Some of them started their own board and I'm pretty sure EVO got wind of it and started banning everyone on the new board. Whatever EVO sucks. The only reason I created an account there was to bash gearline/ shamerock a few months ago

I just saw a WKM that I wasn't familiar with. I clicked on his name, been here since early February. Guy has almost twice as many "likes" as he does posts. Guy has to be bumping his stats with fake accounts. Retard population is definitely getting big here.

seven dog has spent some time in OGH's food thread, you get a lot of likes in there. You can also see someone's post history in their profile, best to dbl check that before making fake accounts accusations, etc...
Seven dog might be legit but there's no question that some members are using alters to boost their points with 'likes.' I've received a couple of PMs from others who've noticed the same thing. I'm not a fan of titles but when someone can attain WKM status in a month, it diminishes the value of the title. How well known can someone be in only a month?
I think maybe more importance should be placed on how long a person has been a member than the way it's currently done. I know @Millard Baker wanted status to be based more on the quality of the member's contribution rather than 'time', but when members can easily abuse the 'like' system to get status quickly, it's not working. Perhaps the pendulum has swung TOO far.
EDIT: I just looked in on the food thread and I see what you mean. Someone posts a picture of a stack of pancakes and they get a dozen likes. Not to take away from the food thread but a dozen likes for a picture of your breakfast? C'mon!
