Extreme bloating

yes interested in what you use for probiotic.
Have heard of guys doing the elimination diet. That's a real bitch but if you finally find the culprit(s) it can make a world of difference.
I absolutely had to do the elimination diet because my IBS had me in the bathroom and average of 2 to 4 hours a day. What I’ve learned is that it doesn’t matter what I eat there’s just some foods affect me so much more than others. While some food are not too bad.

I have IBS and the same bloating issues all the time brother. Only thing that helped me somewhat was eating close to a low fodmap diet and staying away from things that are guaranteed to mess me up.
I did try FODMAP once. Honestly, I get the bloating and multiple trips to the bathroom regardless of what I eat that’s what I learned now I know there’s just foods that are not Terrible and some I need to absolutely.

No change at all. The IBS has been killing me for a decade. Overtime I learned which foods to completely stay away from because they absolutely destroy my intestines.
I eat a similar breakfast to you. Some days the whey protein just doesn’t agree with me.

10 years is a long time. I’d find a good nutritionist, get allergy testing done, etc. Let someone smarter than us guide you.

Did this start recently. If so what has changed.
Often people take meds to get rid of the acid in their stomach. Which slows digestion and allows things to ferment more causing gas. So adding digestive enzymes and even HCL may help.
Pre and/or probiotics may help. I am guessing you have already spent time eliminating foods from your diet to see if that helps.
I’ve had the IBS for the better part of a decade. Yes I tried the elimination diet and unfortunately nothing changed other than I’ve learned certain foods affect me far worse than others. I’ve tried pre-and probiotics, but not the one above. Somebody posted a picture of. I’m gonna look into that a little bit.

I know someone with similar issues. They have a very strict diet. Certain foods are just never eaten. Alcohol, spicy food, lots of acidic food, and specific things they are sensitive to are off the list. They sorted that overtime by tracking their intake and bowel response over time. I know they take PRE biotics. I believe inulin and maybe one other. They also take high-end organic turmeric with black pepper with some fat source. Also CBD + CBG + THC every evening. Something like 30mg/30mg/5mg.

Hope you find some solutions. Sounds rough.
Yeah, I have the same issue with the strict diet. Onions are what kills me the most which makes it difficult to go out to eat. Even if the food was cooked where they had been grilling onions earlier, it will still kill my intestines for 2 to 3 days. God this sucks

I’ve been to so many doctors and specialist over the years. They are all completely perplexed at my intestinal issues. I was Hoping maybe some people on here themselves or know someone who had similar problem and discovered some unconventional fix

You ever do a stool sample to check your calprotectin I think it's called? I think it's a marker for intestinal inflammation?

I’ve done a stool sample quite a while ago, but I don’t remember what they were looking for. I’m gonna write that down just in case. Maybe it’s worth trying that again

Have you ever had gal stones or your gall bladder removed?

Have you noticed a difference between low fat and high fat diets?

At this point since you're saying a decade I would definitely go see a specialist and get your gut checked

I want to thank everyone who is responded. There’s definitely some ideas to think about. Discuss that I’m going to take a deeper dive into. Truly appreciate the help brothers!

Never had gallstones or gallbladder removed. I’ve tried changing up all the macros and never experienced a difference. I’ve seen so many doctors and specialists over the last 10 years and they’re all stumped. I guess I’m looking for some unconventional ideas at this point.

I will say this last doctor found a medication that had me going from 3 to 4 hours a day in the bathroom to maybe one hour. Definitely a major help to live my life. Now we just gotta figure out the damn bloat lol.

My fiance had hers removed, as a result she has insufficient bile storage to utilize in the digestion of fats so she gets bloated and IBS symptoms when she eats higher fat meals.

Both issues are nearly eliminated with the daily use of bile salts, like tudca.

Just a shot in the dark, since it sounds like damn near every potential cause you've tried already

Oh man that sucks. Bro, I’ll take all the shots in the dark you guys have lol. I’ve never even use tudca on the cycle. I’m willing to try it. You never know.

Yea I feel it. That's why I don't attempt to follow the fodmap thing anymore. I'd rather just put up with it since I know it won't completely go away. One thing that is weird and actually pretty much normalized my bowel movement was when I take semaglutide or mounjaro. I tried them to help with my binge eating habits and during the time I am on them, I feel almost normal. Granted I am and IBS-D kinda guy lol so the fact that those peptides slow digestion is what does the trick I think.
