Fluoroquinolone

Yes I am.

Honestly I've been using it off and on since I suffered my adverse reaction so I can't really determine whether they helped or not. I will say that while my reaction started off very severe I have experienced one of the quickest recoveries from an "intermediate" reaction that I have come across.

At ~8 months out I can lift weights, stretch, jog a bit, play some rugby, etc. I still suffer diffuse tendonitis (particularly bad in my knees, left achilles, wrists), floaters, and some other minor issues. I anticipate that within the next year I will reach a 90-100% physical recovery. The other stuff may stay, it might not. I will keep using the peptides probably off and on the rest of my life (or until more evidence on long term GH use comes out) to help reverse the fallout from this shit.

I just had some musculoskeletal ultrasound and found out that my tendons are all enlarged or swollen. THis is the source of my crepitus. I am wondering if there is a way to reverse this swelling without NSAIDs...as NSAIDs eventually make the pain worse for me.

You can try to balance your ratio of Omega6/Omega3 in a 1:1 fashion.

Are there also other groups of antibiotics which have these dangers?
I'm a little worried because I have taken antibiotics a few times in the past years mostly antibiotics
because of skin infections or also throat infections. Do other doctors also use these kind of antibiotics or is it mostly urologists?

And what do you need to look for to find out if an antibiotic is safe or not? Would a dangerous one always mention Fluoroquinolone as active agent?

what ghrp's and dosage would you recommend, i know very little about supplementation?

Thanks.

I've been trying my friend.

CuBz, have you been trying to achieve this balance with primarily alpha-linolenic acid, or DHA/EPA? Please choose the latter, if you haven't been already. But then again, do NOT go overboard with DHA/EPA supplementation, tho, as this can most certainly be detrimental to one's health! :)

Fish oil, olive oil, coconut oil, and all of my meats are grass fed for the majority of their lives and given a bit of corn at the end.

I pretty much eat ketogenic/paleo/atkins.

Hi all,
Thanks Mike.
This stuff is particularly insidious. From the reports I have read saying that EVERY dose of this stuff is toxic, I wonder how much longer it will be on the market.........:tiphat

Haven't seen the pysiatrist yet. I had the appt. yesterday but I had to reschedule. I'm really looking for arthritis in my knees, and tendon damage in my shoulders. I bet she won't find much, but worth a look.

Karter, how are you doing otherwise? Do you think you will see a full or partial recovery...or do you think you are going to end up a long timer?

Hi, Cubbie, sorry for the long radio silence. I'm doing a lot better, thanks for asking. I'm attaching a visual from a daily record I keep - my 6mo relapse ended two months ago and it's been gravy since.

Except for the right wrist - remains completely incapacitated, 0% improvement (you may recall I had the cortisone interaction there).

Flew out to the Mayo Clinic last Fri for a consultation with a Dr there. Nice conversation, but complete waste of time. Fluoroquinolone-induced tendinopathies only barely exist - as everyone here well knows.

To answer your question: like you, I expect a close-to-full recovery, excepting the wrist, which I fear may be permanent.

Ever get your MRI? Has your recovery played out in similar relapse fashion?

Hang in there everyone.

Yep MRIs were unremarkable except the presence of tendonitis and swollen bursas in my knees and shoulders.

Doing OK. Hoping for a full or at least 90-95% recovery in another 4-6 months. In the gym pretty regularly lifting. Left achilles is still really f'ed up - can't jog or run. It was about 90% and then I reaggravated it once and kept on doing it for about two months...that was a big mistake.

Going to continue doing prolo, one sports med doc wants me to do some PRP.

What did mayo diagnose you with? What did they tell you to do?

How much does this cost & how long are you out for plus how long does it take to notice potential positive effects from this, CuBz?

Cost - no idea, the doc is going to do it himself in his office and it seemd to me he would find a creative way to bill it to my insurance or just charge me an office visit and do it on the sly.

He said he would do the PRP, put me in a boot for 4 weeks, and then do traditional physical therapy for 4 weeks, then it "should" be good.

Who knows.

Cubbieblue,

Have you had any success with the PRP or in general any marked impovement with your adverse reactions from fluoroquinolones?

best regards.

Yep - time, PRP, ice, a paleo diet seem to have been the most helpful things.

Cubbieblue,

How have you been lately with the fluoroquinolone recovery?

I have stabilized for the most part, my plantar fasciitis is everpresent and my shoulders and lower back seem to be about the same, a mild/dull pain, but all other areas have improved, hopefully with some time i will recover, who knows.

Have you tried anything new?

I just realized everyone in my house has been adversely affected by quinolones. My girlfriend has a lot of tendon/joint issues (at a young age) probably due to a week course of Cipro...at least I suspect so. I was just flipping through our arthritic cat's medical records and I saw that he was on Baytril (Vet. Cipro) for some urinary tract issues he had. Probably a contributer to that too. Guh.

Have you tried any of the peptides to help alleviate these problems?
