I have met several people on this board. I was a groomsman in ones wedding, received support in many situations I have had over the years from guys who who are no longer here and guys who are. Some people I talk to regularly and value their opinion over many I met organically in the real world.

The amazing power of the interwebs.... ahhhhhh. So amazing to be able to meet like minded people in a setting unencumbered by the normal hindrances and prejudices present when you meet someone face to face. Developing friendships with people you probably would have just stared down in the gym or in the grocery store.... it's pretty funny how it works.

If you think this is just a digital exchange of information that ceases when you log off you have missed a large part of what this site has to offer. While the internet falls victim to the normal percentage of douchebags, assholes and ignorant trash that the real world does I think it is a unique venue to see how people carry themselves and how intelligently they can convey their point in any given situation...

You don't want to make friends? You think this is a sea of faceless avatars who could never have any impact on your life? You are missing out dude. Many of the people here have nothing to offer you- that part is true... but of the people that could truly have an effect now or down the road - don't alienate them to win a petty argument.
