Friend of mine boxing on NBC today...

Just thought I'd pass along that a friend of mine from high school should be boxing live on ESPN today. I believe it's at 2 or 2:30 pm central time. (He is one of the undercard fights, but said he should be on? - whatever that means?) His name in BJ Flores. We were friends back in high school and training partners in the weight room.

He is a hell of a boxer. Won golden gloves nationals his junior and senior year of high school, and then left for a 2 year mission as he is a mormon. He came back and started boxing and got to the semifinals of the Olympic trials back in 2000 before he broke his thumb during a fight and had to pull out.

He since has gone pro. Maybe he'll make something of himself in the next couple of years.

Sorry Stevie, but I'M the biggest boxing fan ever. Haven't missed a fight on TV since '97. Haven't missed one in Texas since '99. I'll compromise: You're the biggest CANADIAN boxing fan ever?!?! LOL

Wasn't trying to hijack your thread AM. I've seen B.J. in action and he is good. Thought he had a good shot at Olympic gold.

lol, ok slick, we'll share the title of biggest boxing fans in our respective countries. bojado is the main event on NBC, he has alot of potential and hes being fed an easy win today though, at least it will be entertaining. starts in 5 min,.

Looks like your friend didn't make the telecast. I'm sure he figured that main event would not go the distance. to bad I wanted to see him fight. 1st fight was pretty good. very evenly matched. I love to see fighters go to the body, it shows they've been tought well...........11

How did he do? (missed being on I guess)
