So this is where im at at the moment...
Ive always prided myself with lifting naked but im doing 3 upper and 3 lower days a week. Theres ALOT of grip dependent work in those workouts and im just failing. The grip gives out before the target muscle is broken down enough. Alot of rows. More rows. Rack pulls etc.
These were the best they had so i got em

Could I get some of your guys opinions on which shoe you would choose for lifting. Primarily squatting and deadlifting. This is if you could only choose one shoe. as one pair is all I'm going to be able to afford right now
Little tough there. You want next to nothing for heel lift or zero for deadlifting, I always say barefoot is best but for squats an elevated heel is helpful

you can always start with a good squat shoe if you want a heel, then deadlift in socks as deadlifting in squat shoes sucks.

If you dont want a heel, just buy a pait of chucks they are great deadlift shoes and work well for flat footed squaters. I found a pair of fake chucks and the things literately have no padding and are hard as a rock, perfect for deadlifts

Just wanted to give my review on these. They are Branch Warrens brand
Absolutely terrible. Built like a brick shithouse with complete disregard to function and real world use. So thick that it makes the bar thicker than a pepsi can even when the strap doesnt overlap each pass around the bar. The tough canvas material actually cuts in to the wrist as well.
Shame on you Branch Warren
Product fail

In my experience most products sold by bodybuilders are just awful. There's exceptions of course.

or these
elitefts™ Third Generation GripMax™ Wrist Strap

Both are threaded with rubber to help grip the strap. I use them all the time when either my callus are beat to shit or like you, im trying to focus on the muscle group and not grip the bar or pull up bar. i particularly like them for weighted pull ups

I have those elite orange rubber ones for years now they're excellent. I got a pair of figure 8's I'm stoked about coming next week. I'll review em after DL day

I got 2 pair of the third gen grip max thrown in free with a recent order. I used them for the first time today, they definitely glue your hands to the bar.

Otherwise, I've just been using the orange old school style elite fts sells, mostly because they're less bulky and I can leave them on and they don't get in the way.

Well first day using my figure 8's and I'm in love. Used em on deads, dumbell rows and bb shrugs. Hands are fuckin locked to the bar. @gr8whitetrukker you need to check these out brother if your still in the market for some straps.
