Gear review

Yeah man, it's great... I am undecided about buying a new one because I have slimmed down so much that this one will soon be borderline too big. I'm teetering on the edge right now and could probably do better with smaller. I also thought about getting a leather hole punch and adding holes to this one.

There's another custom leather place I ordered a deadlift belt from, they're good too. I'll have to look and check the brand name... I forget at the moment. The strong belt is best for squats... Little bit big for anything else.

You looking for just an all around belt for back support on all lifts?
Yes sir just a good solid training belt. Not trying to set any records. Kinda thought about the inzer because of the lever. Sounds like you can get it set just right?

Stoic wrist wraps 18” These have been great for my wrists. Squats used to kill my wrist going over certain weight with med bar position. Same with ohp even bench. These have worked great for me. Ill. Post pictures up soon.

I got some Sabo deadlift shoes a couple weeks ago. For pulling sumo they have a lot better grip and with the two straps they feel more stable as your feet don't slide out over the soles. The biggest complaint I saw online about them is that they're cheaply made. They do seem cheaply made, so hopefully they hold up awhile.

I'm between these two:

Pro Series Strongman Belt

http://www.inzernet.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=PRBELT

Main use for these will be strongman events.

I like the Spud belt because it looks like it has some flex to it, which would be helpful. Conversely, the inzer is.. Well.. An inzer. It looks like it has less flex and probably needs broken in a bit but overall, it looks like a great belt.

I'm interested in these ratcheting belts... They should offer a little more adjustment to get things tightened just right... Which would be helpful with moving between strongman and the big four lifts.

I will be the test dummy on the new Mark Bell X sleeves. Ordered a pair on Monday.

Missed my third squat this weekend on depth. First time that has ever happened although I have gotten a red light on one side or other before for depth but never both.

Guy who wrapped my knees was great. Got them a full three wraps tighter than I can get them myself. Based on feel I thought I was deep enough on my third but I was about a half inch short. Really bad thing was I stood up with it like it was a warm up attempt because I got so much rebound due to him wrapping them so tight.

In any event I can't wrap myself that tight and my heavy sets in training need to mimic what I'm going to do at the meet so if these sleeves are what Bell advertises them to be I will just use the sleeves during my meets going forward.

Just saw them yesterday... Interested to see how you make out.

I think I'm done with knee wraps, too. Was looking into getting some SBDs as I didn't know Mark Bell had new sleeves out. I see a lot of people knock Mark Bell's products online, but I've never had a product of his I wasn't satisfied with.

I have SBDs and I like them. Its what I use in training and meets, but I also ot a pair of the new xsleeves to see how good they are. I got a pair of iron rebel sport sleeves but I don't really care for them at all.

I've got two pairs of SBD's. I got larges to train in about three years ago and they are very solid just not quite tight enough to compete in.

So I ordered a pair of medium SBD's last year to compete in. There is zero doubt in my mind that they have changed the way they are making them. Mediums should have been so tight I could barely get them on and I am able to pull them up in about three seconds per leg. They are much stretchier than my original pair. Not nearly supportive enough to compete in for my liking.

So I will see what the X sleeves are about. They are USPA approved.

Hope all is well @Masters Power

I had a pair of those in my cart and I decide to wait on some more reviews. My Iron rebels are getting a little beat up and I would like to do the same, have a pair for training and a pair for comp or heavy days.

My last heavy squat day I had I decided to try these old EliteFTS sleeves I had from a couple years ago. They are now super tight and take some muscling up to get them on. Hit a 30lb rep PR so I may just stick with those for now

Don't think I saw anyone post about these. Has anyone tried Cerberus extreme knee sleeves? I just ordered a pair. A couple reviews I saw said they're better than strong sleeves. They were only $5 more so I decided to pull the trigger on them

Just got the Cerberus extreme knee sleeves in the mail. Haven't been able to use them yet, but I tried them on and they felt pretty good. Definitely more stiff than my strong sleeves. I have a 4x3 of squats at 425lbs tomorrow. So I'll see if I can notice a difference in comfort/support. Just from trying them on I'm guessing there will be a pretty noticeable difference

Been using Iron Bull 7mm sleeves for years. Second pair is starting to slip at the seams a bit at this point. But they see a lot of hard use.

Use their straps and wrist wraps as well. Pretty standard and both do what they're supposed to when needed(rarely). Think I'd use wraps more often if I could actually find a pair that's not as stiff / thick.

I've used soft belts and wasn't a huge fan. Grabbed a $60 Bear Complex dual prong to get me by while debating a more 'name brand' belt.

Never got around to ordering the 'better' belt. BC is solid and comfortable without any real break in time. Love it.

Adidas Powerlift 3.1
Used them for squats twice and bench once. I can say that I like them. Helps with my stance and stability in both. Not really sold on these for deadlifts but Ill try them at some point to be sure

I've always heard they're better for high bar squats and conventional deadlift. And bench. Not so much for low bar and sumo. I've never tried them though, so can't say from experience.

@Perrin Aybara
you using those Sabo shoes correct? how they treating you?

I love them for doing sumo. For conventional not much advantage over using Chucks in my opinion. The advantage with them on sumo is better grip and having the strap to keep your feet from pushing out over the soles. With conventional those things aren't really an issue with the closer stance.
