Good time for this discussion
Picking up some wraps this week and was eyeballing SBD
Definitly will go with slingshots instead.

Side note
Iron Bull elbow sleeves are my backups/travel sleeves
Really like them and the price point is excellent.

I wouldnt want to attempt a bench PR on them, but as an accessories sleeve, they get the job done
Was Perrin suggested the Slingshot Blue ones... As mentioned only used 1x and happy this far

I have the sling shot record breaker wraps. Don't use them often but even without being used to them they still add a good 50lbs+ to my squat. So I definitely can't complain about them.

Would you recommend these over the regular slingshot wraps?

Went through about 10 different pairs of wrap before I finally found one that worked well for me. Didn’t like the blue slingshot personally. Inzer super grippers or aka “atomic”. I get 70-80 lbs with someone wrapping me. Maybe 50 on a self wrap.
my other favorites:
-Lillibridge wraps by pioneer
-Pioneer phantoms
-Elite FTS Patriots
got about 40 from these

Just checked them out, looks cool. Might go for those.

Any of you guys use gym reaper elbow sleeves or wrist wraps?

I've used the wrist wraps
Didnt like them TBH
I settled on some cheap shit wrist wraps at competition length that I really like.

I'll take a picture later when i hit the gym, i bought like 3 pairs.... as I travel and train in several different places each week.

Damn. I’ve got their elbow sleeves and wrist wraps on the way. What didn’t you like about them

If I'm using wrist wraps for Squat or Bench PR attempts (Or even heavy triples) I wrap fucking hard
The stitching started coming off after a few sessions.

I threw the wraps out after they started looking like over cooked bacon lol.

Didnt take long either, did a Google search, turns out this is a common problem for powerlifters, most guys who buy it just kinda wrap their wrists without going crazy on tightness or height of the wrap, so most of their reviews are good.

As for the sleeves, never tried then
SBD and Ironbull for me

That was the first set of sleeves I ever got. They were ok for a first set, but I'll never go back to them. They wear out/stretch out too easily and don't offer much support after a couple months of use

Now I am using MB slingshot stuff. I have never tried SBD though and hear nothing but good things about them

I have STrong elbow sleeves and loved them. Either arms are smaller or they stretched, so need new ones but they are 2 to 3 yrs old.

I have Rogue soft 24 inch wrist wraps and SBD Stiff medium (20in) and love them both.

Knees I have STrong sleeves but same issues as elbow sleeves. SBD sleeves which are awesome, and 2.5 meter Slingshot knee wraps

Based off this I'll definitely grab the Inzer super grippers of they're available in Canada.

I assume they're the wraps you used to set the state record?

Yup, you want the wraps with full rubber on the inside. You can pretty much wrap them to suit your squat style. Tighten for more stop, loose for more pop. Tbh they give a lot of pop even tight because all the rubber. If I can hit depth in them there hasn’t been a squat I haven’t been able to stand up Wearing them. Theyre awesome for anyone, just have to learn them.

On Inzer website they call them the Atomic

What length do you recomend?

What length do you recomend?
If you compete , the federation you compete with will have max length rules.
Id recommend 2.5 m, legal in most feds and gives you some length to pull on if you ever get some one to wrap you. If you have big knees they should be enough to cover you. The 3’s are a lot of material, depending on how they’re wrapped it might be great( super tight cast wrap) you’ll have tons of length if they’re stretched like that. Some guys like em kinda loose so they don’t have depth issues and they get a good amount of bounce with them. There’s also everywhere in between. The 3’s can always be cut l so there’s that,

Dang, I just ordered the 2's. I hope it will be good

Good place to start. Some might even say the atomic from Inzer is too aggressive for a first wrap but they are very versatile. If you find out you like wraps for squat you can always go up to the 2.5’s

Trying these guys out for lifting straps as I finally lost one of my custom straps from APT.

At least in the presentation, it looks as though someone may have found the shop that APT used to use.

Some of us older guys have hand challenges and a good, good set of lifting straps goes a long way.
