Is gear (mainly testosterone) directly damaging kidneys even if your BP is sub 120/80 throughout most of the day?
Another factor could be overly hard workouts to failure, giving you high CKI and temporarily protein in urine (common with crossfit), or even high protein intakes in general.
I've noticed my cystatin C goes from .65 to .85ish on a blast. Could also be the fact I'm lifting heavier and generating more waste for my kidneys to filter.
Kidney issues are scary. Once you damage them, your life is basically over.
