Has anyone used Whatman Polycaps with compressed air to push instead of vacuum pull?

I'm curious as specs say that either vacuum (underneath) or compressed air (above, 60 psi max) can be used with Polycaps.

Attaching a compressed air hose + clamp above would be easy
but I'm curious on what compressor would you use?
Perhaps a tire compressor would work?

Maybe even a manual air pump?

And it makes for a nice, unexpected workout :D

But I'm afraid you'll need
1 an inline oil-separator to avoid oil mists that the compressor may "spit"

2 an inline air filter to avoid the compressor/pump from blowing additional debris/bacteria to the filter chamber.

Going to be hard to maintain 60 psi with a bicycle pump and that small air pump for airing up a car tire probably wont see 60psi either. You will need a decent conpressor and expansion tank to maintain a constant psi. Just my 2 cents I may be wrong

60 psi is the MAXIMUM operating pressure.
I couldn't find any recommended pressures for filtering oil.
But I guess 25-30 psi (perfectly attainable by tire pumps) will work fine.

Specs only mention a 13 psi Alcohol bubble point test pressure, which seems to be the minimum pressure to get Methanol to pass through.

I think either the manual pump or electric pump would work. There would be almost no airflow demand needed once you get to target PSI, so you could just kill the electric pump at that point. Or put a pressure regulator on it.. Air/water seperator may be needed..Inline filter definitely needed.
