HCG degradation testing after 30, 45, 60 days

This is a work in progress of testing reconstituted HCG for degradation after 30, 45 and 60 days stored between 2-8 degrees celsius as advised. Posting this with slight delay as I needed to check that it matched the contents of pharmaceutical HCG to exclude this as a variable.

Was able to confirm that today.

Here's some tests showing rather insignificant variation between 6 tested vials from two different batches:

and here's ~18% degradation after 31 days (the test report itself will be updated after 45 and 60 days again - thanks to @janoshik for solving mysteries of meso as usual!):

While this should be ran with pharma HCG alongside for comparison's/completionist's sake, our community doesn't have easy access to pharmaceutical HCG that has tested well to begin with at a reasonable price, so that won't be too helpful just yet.

@Liska That’s 18% degradation despite being kept properly refrigerated? Is that reconstituted and then stored? Or is this in the lyophilized powder form?

Thank you for this testing! Super important to know about!

Yes, it was reconstituted and then stored in Jano's fridge at a slightly more narrow temperature range than 2-8 degrees celsius. HCG in lyophilized powder form seems to not deteriorate significantly after being uncooled for a month at least based on pretty much all HCG samples being shipped to Janoshik this way, including my initial ones as well as HCG Livzon several times in the past and several of those results being absolutely on point.

Absolutely fantastic information thank you @Liska you lovely person lol.

This is awesome, thanks for doing this.

I would be very curious if the results would be any different from normal use wrt inserting a needle to draw/injection of outside air/etc.

I expect it to be the same in general for most peptides, including HGH
HCG has by far the longest amino-acid sequence so I'd expect all other peptides to be far more stable, in fact most of them don't require lyophilization at all if used up within a couple of weeks. It's rare to see HGH vials dosed so high that one would last a user longer than two weeks, though there may be some fringe products - but those, too, would be more stable.

TB500 is one that's always had a rap for not lasting long, but I've never seen any proof of that. Semaglutide as well.

I have an unopened spare vial of lyophilized pharma HCG I would be willing to send for testing depending on shipping costs (I have heard they're pretty crazy from US to Jano) or if I could get reimbursed for shipping or something.

Feel free to PM me if that would be helpful / if you are interested.

I want to wait until pharma HCG that tested on point is widely available/affordable again. The recently opened indian pharma vendor said he'd be sending pretty much every indian pharma HCG product for testing so hopefully one of them will finally test decently and we can go from there!

Gotcha, mine is from a compounding pharmacy here in the US. Delivered shortly after the crackdown on HCG here in the states by the Fucking Dickwad Association. The offer stands if desired no worries either way though. Look forward to seeing the results of the future tests.

Now, after reading the results, I wonder how much my reconstituted pharma HCG pen (ovitrelle) has already degraded within the last month in my fridge?!

I didnt expect it to lose that much potency that quick. Lol.

That is some excellent community work mate! Was eagerly awaiting these results. Another hand of appreciation from me.

Must admit; was expecting a lot worse results. At least 50% degradation, honestly.

When i was in our traject for pregnacy, i get every 6 months a lot of pharma hcg stock ..so if I understand correctly since my hcg was not yet mixed, the quality did not decrease? does that only apply to mixed hcg?

You're missing too much information such as when was this & how has it been stored since.

This is very interesting. Thank you so much for sharing this. Going back to how this translates to your business. Would you be open for making vials where a typical usage would last around a month? I think a widely accepted dose is 250 IU EOD.

Having identified a problem I want to figure out what causes it and if it can be prevented. Even if I fail at that I'll have learned much more than I could by resorting to the cop out right away.
