I'm a metal fan and even I'll admit it, the genre is seriously sucking lately!!! 2018 has been the worst year so far for metal!!! Black metal needs to fucking die already, it's retarded. It's pretty fucking bad when an old band like Judas Priest can make a killer album in 2018 that destroys everyone with double bass and a newer and harder sound. This genre is sucking bad lately

Check out as i lay dying - my own grave. A new single in 6 years by this band, and it still has that good 2012 kinda sound to it. Other than that i gotta admit, this year i havenf really heard a new release that got my hyped. The good old bands turn to shit, and theres no good new ones

Well my big hope is they release a new full album. 6 years, tim couldve wrote soo many sick songs in all those years.
Their line up is the same as back then too. Im way too hyped for those.

Yea, without Tim that band just doesn't have it. I thought Wovenwar was absolutely terrible. But aside from Tims sound I could give a fuck about his sick ass after hiring that cop to kill his wife. I'll listen to their music but not a fan of that dude anymore.

Now Randy Blythe? He's the people's fucking champ to me!!!! Anything he's featured in automatically sounds 10x better.

Lamb of God has a new one on the way. They are releasing it under their original name Burn The Priest. Its all covers but should be good. Just got my L.O.G tickets. Comin live in August. Hatebreed is on the way too. At least I'll see some good shows if no good albums drop.

Still a fan of his music though. The guy is basically a one man band. He writes, produces, and is capable of playing every instrument. AILD always needed him more than he needed them.

Bruh.. The best album dropped this year was Shadow of Intent's, reclaimer. They put out an instrumental version of the album, too. Can't say I've enjoyed anything from Lamb of God since sacrament. I heard as i lay dying's latest release. Glad it has their similar sound.
Some honorable mentions, Chelsea Grin, Born of Osiris, the Agony Scene. 2017 had a lot of good releases. Boris the Blade, wage war, novelists(if you like djent), and volumes.
