Hi, I'm 6'0, 193 pds.... not sure of any stats... still somewhat of a rookie.. this so called trainer at my community college is really stacked hes huge... he kind of took me under his wings... he says do 4 sets of12 chest flat bench.. then same with incline.. has me doin tri's an bi's along with that the same day... good? bad? also, im takin protein shakes, as well as this russian red creatin actijubes? lemme kno what ya think? are those supplemets nonsense an a waste of money? thanks guys

The first thing you need to know, is that everyone is different. What works for you may not work for the next guy. Personally, I do Bi's the same day I do Chest. This allows me to get a double pump in the arms, and still be able to focus on the Bi's without pre-exhausting them with any of the chest workout. With that in mind, I do Tri's on my back day.

Now, Protein is a staple for anyone that is trying to regulate their diet. It's an easy way of getting a lot of protein in your diet without having to cook and prepare for every meal. I've heard some things about the actijube, but not enough to make a decision. Also, I've heard that creatine puts tiny holes in your tendons. I don't know how much of this is truly researched, but if you see results then you should stick with it.

Hope this helps.

On the lifting if I was doing 4 sets I would increase weight each set by 5-10lbs so it would be more like 12,10,8,6 instead of 12,12,12,12. <<You are holding back alot of strength gain with the current range. As for the protien you are going to need @300g a day from food plus shakes. Creatine I dont use it any more. I couldnt tell a long term difference.
The biggest thing you need to focus on is training intensity and your eating. You can do 100 sets of bench for 20 reps with 10lbs but you aint gonna grow because its not intense.
Look around and find a few training routines and try a new one out each 4-6 wks.

Oh I just remembered this little dude who tried to tell me that the only way to get big is to take supplements. I told him no you need to eat. He is about 5"10 130lbs @ 12% bf. i asked him what a big meal to him is and he said he works at jack in the box and he eats 2 hamburgs when on shift. LOL ya alot huh
