Help needed on Needle and Syringe Choice for IM & SubQ Injections:

Hey everyone, I have a few questions regarding needles and syringes, and I’d love to get your input:
  1. Needle for IM Injection (Glutes or Thigh):
    • Which do you think is better for intramuscular (IM) injections on the glutes or thighs:
      • 27G x 1 inch
      • 25G x 1 inch
      • 27G x 20mm
    • I’m aiming for minimal pain but also want to ensure the needle is long enough for proper injection depth.
  2. BD Eclipse Safety Needles vs BD Microlance 3 Specialised Needles for Delts:
    • I’m considering using BD Eclipse Safety Needles (27G x 1/2 inch) for my delts.
    • Do you think the Eclipse Safety Needles are worth the slightly higher price, or should I just stick with the BD Microlance 3 Specialised Needles?
  3. Syringe Choice for 0.5ml Max Dose:
    • If I’m injecting 0.5ml max, would you recommend a Luer Lock 3ml Syringe or a BD Plastipak 1ml Syringe?
    • Price-wise, they’re almost the same because the Luer Lock comes in packs of 200. Is it better to go with the 3ml size because it’s more versatile, or should I stick to the 1ml size for easier handling?
  4. SubQ Injection Needles:
    • I’m using 30G x 8mm needles for subcutaneous (SubQ) injections because I couldn’t find 31G x 6mm needles that deliver to me.
  5. Releasing Vacuum Seal and Reconstituting HGH:
    • When I’m reconstituting my HGH vial, I need to release the vacuum seal. However, I couldn’t find any filtered venting needles that release the vacuum for this process.
    • What do you recommend for safely releasing the vacuum seal in the HGH vial before reconstitution? Also which syringes/needles are the best for reconstitution? Prior I always used my insulin syringes to break the vacuum and to reconstitute with bac water. 3 insulin syringes were used including injection.
Looking forward to hearing your experiences and advice!

Thanks in advance!

Would kind of depend on the volume of your Injections.. concentration of drug matters a little as well. If toue gonna be pushing 2.5 -3.5 ml of dope your gonna want to at least use 25 gauge thin wall.. 1in at least for me.. I did 1ml.in delt earlier with a 5/8 in and had quite a bit of leakage.. If your just a trt dose Kinda guy.. you can pin with just about anything...

I use 3 different sizes depending on which muscle group I inject. I use nipro and only nipro. For pecs and shoulders I use half inch 27g. For glutes I use 1.25 inch 27g. For quads I use 1inch 27g.

The reason i stated nipro and only nipro is because I’ve tried so many different brands and one batch would be just fine the next it would be like trying to pierce Kevlar and make every injection a nightmare. I’ve also had some that seem to grab the skin on the way in and on the way out as if they had some sticky substance on them. Nipro are always super sharp and glide right in and right out no issues, no grabbing, no popping.

Also Nipro makes ultra thinwall in every gauge!! I am deffo a Nipro guy!!! I have never been able to find a 27 gauge 1in nipro though only .5 in and 1.25in .. where did you find the 1in?? I also see that they make a 30g 1in i was gonna try for delt injections..

Where do you get your pins? GPZ?
Also, when using the 1/2 in pin are using strictly mct oil and will you go 1ml? I just assume at that depth you run the risk of dissipation being an issue with a thicker oil or obviously higher volume. I know guys that go 5/16 but I never asked what they are shooting as I just dismissed trying it myself as I figured it’s asking for problems. Funny this thread is here As I just spoke to another guy who swears by the SubQ injections - for one they do reduce scar tissue.

IMO regardless of oil the higher the guage (smaller the needle) the better for longevity. You can always apply heat if needed for better flow or accept that it will take an extra 30 seconds but that equals less scar tissue over the years so its worth it to me.

are you comparing syringes with needles attached to just needles with separate barrels for a 3 euro difference?

If so, Do you care about convenience? 3.00e / 100 syringes = 0.03e difference per unit . lol

3. BD Plastipak 1ml Syringe -

i have tried to do low volume shots like .5 and its not good with 3ml, or larger syringes

5. filtered venting needles are not needed imo...

I heat my oil everytime before injection.. we're also not talking about an extra "30" seconds.. trying to push 3 ml of oil through a 27 gauge point twisted around hitting the glute is a very difficult task.. how many times have you tried it? You already daid it was hard enough ti try and push .5ml. I'm all for the smaller the needle the better but lets talk realistically if your gonna blast 3 ml of gear you need ti use the rationale equipment.. if you are using 1ml barrels sure 27 gauge will push..

3) Match the syringe to the dose to optimize accuracy and minimize wastage.
So for a 0.5ml injection, use a 0.5ml or 1ml syringe depending on availability.

4)Nothing wrong with a 30g 8mm for subq. But I love my 32g 4mm pins.

5)You don't have to release the vacuum. Just inject air before withdrawing. Or use any needle, filtering the air is overkill. If you want to filter the air, attach a luerlock filter to a needle and now you have a filtered venting needle.

I get my pins from medlab supply. The 1/2 inch pins for delts I will go a ml since the minuscule seems to be tighter and hold the oil well. I get a little seepage after the injection but not too much and it usually stops within a minute

You’re right. The 1in 27g I have are from care touch. Those are the ones I was talking about that seem to be “sticky” when pushing in and pulling out. I’ve even wiped them down with alcohol prior and they still don’t slide in and out as well as the nipro brand. I have used BD brand needles before and they were pretty good but they always seem to be sold out of the sizes I prefer. I know BD makes a 27 and 30g 1in as well but the 27g is like a unicorn and is hard to find in stock for some reason

I get most of mine my medlab as well but they are always out of stuff so I found a place called medtitis (or something like that) they carry just about every BD and Nipro option there is. They are about 10$ a box more but always in stock.. ill use BD or Nipro as long as they are TW.. I am hungry up in Excel 3ml barrels and an Amazon brand 1ml barrel called Dr.s choice

OP is using 0.5ml, not 3ml...

And no, you obviously did not read what I said / was responding to. I said to use a 1ml syringe for .5ml, NOT to use 3ml syringes as it's more difficult in all aspects, less accurate, and pointless for such a small amount.

To respond to your completely irrelevant comment, I have absolutely zero issues pushing oil through a 27g. However, you can use whatever you want and prefer to use. Should you want an opinion, ask for one.

Ok! I'm sorry.. I don't want any problems..

Those are without syringes, just the needles. Idk why it is listed with syringes in the picture lol

Do you think these will fit the plastipak 1ml syringe? BD doesn't have any 27g 1 inch needles, only 25g 1 inch. Or should I just buy 25g from BD?

I just thought 3ml because that one is luer lock while the other one isnt but I guess doesnt matter that much, Ill just buy 1ml then

If I dont release the vacuum, then inject bac water, it really pulls that bac water out with a lot of force, is this still okay? I saw people usually do it before adding bac water. Can I also inject bac water first even with the force and just aim sideways, then before drawing out, inject the same amount of air which I plan to draw out. This way I would need 2 insulin syringes instead 3 for this process.
