I'm not old enough to know the true foundation of hip hop but I would say tupac foreal an not the dude who sings ice ice baby..hip hop foundation.
Gotta disagree on Tupac. Yes rap had been around long before him. Nwa & Ice T paved the way for gangster rap. But imo Tupac and biggie took it to the next level. Adding to the gangster rap foundation. Along with Nas JayZ Snoop and tons more. All play a part to the rap history.Hate to say it, but zyzz is right. Ice Ice baby is not hip hop foundation. The only thing it did was got people of a certain complexion who may not have listened to rap before to hear it.
And Tupac is dope. But foundation? He didnt come out til the 90s. Shits been around since the late 70s, early 80s.
