How long can you keep BAC water for?

I have like 20 unopened 30mL bottles of BAC water from various peptide orders (they just gave them for free). Some of them are set to expire over the next few months. From what I can tell, as with most things, the expiration is just an FDA mandate. However, is it possible the benzyl alcohol is evaporating into the air bubble in the container, thus it really is expired? How long do you think BAC water is good for?

The BAC water vials are stored in a dark drawer where the temperature is pretty stable at around 68-70 degrees F.

I just opened a new one that "expired" feb 2020. That's the oldest one I have. Kinda just wishing I'd sold them when they were unexpired, they fetch a good price. It's like 400 bucks worth of BAC water per market prices! Lol

I've had no adverse effects from even 4 months old BAC (4 months after opening)

But I only use it for peptides/Gh subQ injections, so infections are pretty much non existant anyways.

Yeah I am using for peptides and agree on that. To be honest I didn't realize it expired, although I should have as everything medical expires lol. "This scalpel is expired, the FDA requires we spend money with big med-tech to buy a new one!"

In the past, I have definitely used several month old BAC water. I was trying to determine if there is any increased risk when using old BAC water. Unopened is almost certainly fine, but perhaps opened BAC water holds some risk.

Well there is always the empty area at the top of the vial. So theoretically, at least some of the BA could evaporate into that chamber of air. Of course the rate at which this would happen would vary greatly and depend on temperature, the current pressure of the vial (higher pressure would reduce evaporation as there's less room for the BA to evaporate to even though the volume is the same, as well as light exposure. Mine has been stored in the back of a drawer at pretty consistent temp of 68 degrees, so I am not too worried about it. However, perhaps as the BAC water is used and the air chamber at the top of the vial gets larger, more BA evaporates and the BAC water gets less safe/suitable for use.

I was mostly just curious if anyone knew more about expiration with BAC water. I'm going to continue using mine even though it's expired, although I will probably start throwing away open vials that are older.

I KNOW! Looking at vendor prices they seem to charge $1/mL, which is just fucking bananas. Maybe that'll stop now, I think there was a "shortage" for a while, but who knows really...

Yeah I get all mine for free with orders of other stuff. I have like 15 30 mL vials just sitting around.

Now looking at some vendors, IDK where the hell I saw $1 per mL. I know that was the going price for a while for a bunch of vendors, but it seems to be like $5-10 at most places now.

Nevermind, I guess I will just sit back and dream of selling my BAC water at a super premium. $300 per vial! $10 per mL! I am a rich man! Better buy some fucking dogecoins instead (kidding, I love DOGE but I am not a holder. I would rather buy penny stocks that are more predictable and I can make reliable stacks on!)

I’m just getting into this stock trading / crypto trading just the last weeks.

I can't recommend crypto although I made a killing on it in 2018. It is just too volatile, too unpredictable in my opinion. Plus other than a select few, most of them fully rely on just user usage at the retail consumer level. There are a few like Ripple that have banks using their platform but not the token itself, plus now the SEC is breathing down Ripples neck (or at least they were last I saw a couple weeks ago).

I have done very well with penny stocks over the last 6ish years. It's just play money. Started with 4k and have made over 45k in profits (not counting taxes...short term cap gains 25% eats into things). Last year I didn't trade at all though, started a new job and was just too busy (before that my previous job had TONS of downtime...I basically traded for 25% of my day lol...) However, I honestly can't recommend penny stocks for most people either. It is definitely work, and 99% of the companies are complete scams. I get letters all the time about class action lawsuits against some company I held stock for at one point or another (I just ignore them). They are almost all pump and dump dilution schemes that the execs of these "companies" use to finance their lives. It's pretty pathetic, that said, the returns are fucking great if you get lucky. I have definitely gotten lucky (and not--for example, I had 50k shares of POTN for 3 months, but market makers like fucking Citadel were manipulating the price, pushing it down). 2 months after I sold, taking a 30% loss, the stock popped to A DOLLAR. Nearly made 50 grand lol...

Your best bet, especially if are young like I still consider myself to me, is just good old index funds. Oh, and real estate. Real estate has been very good to me. Nothing better than house hacking (google it), although I have been lucky there too in that my tenants are great and haven't had any financial issues due to COVID. It's a scary time to jump in to real estate right now, for sure.

Oh yeah! I remember that now. I think that was a major factor and that is the time I remember it being too. People were literally charging $1/mL for BAC water on the grey markets for peptides and shit LOL
