How to make dissolvable tablets?

Looking to make sublingual var/drol in relatively low doses. I know I could just make capsules and empty the content onto my tongue, but I've used dissolvable tablets before with supplements where it says it uses sorbitol and stearic acid. Do any of y'all have a recipe or know of a way to make tablets like that? I've also heard you can make them with gelatin but those take a lot longer to dissolve under the tongue.
