I just now emailed HUPHARMA with the two order details on the 200 grams that came back as "bunk"

I say "bunk" because I had weightsandmeasures test it (at a cost of $145) and it came back as sildenafil and not sildenafil citrate. So it was the parent compound sildenafil which is useless until it is converted into citrate.

I'm curious to see if HU is going to offer some kind of comp on my loss for having it tested as well as the 200 grams cost and shipping.
I guess as with anything else, we shall see.
I'll keep you guys updated with what transpires.

Basically, sildenafil is virtually non water soluble so it will not be absorbed in the system.
Many drugs are like this.
So, drugs that are non soluble are turned into citrate or "salt of" because salt is very easily soluble in water hence why sildenafil citrate works whereas sildenafil will not. Sildenafil will simply pass through the stomach without being absorbed and then through the digestive tract and out.
I will try to re dig and find links to what I am talking about.

I had emailed them and they said to provide the details and they would take care of it.
I just haven't emailed them the details yet as like I said just got out of hospital.
I will try to get them the details emailed either later tonight or early a.m. tomorrow and we shall see how they respond.

I can already see its going to take some digging as I am having trouble finding the Chem page I am looking for that explains the difference.

In the meanwhile if you feel like sleuthing here are the molecular formulas of each.

Sildenafil : C22H30N6O4S
Molecular Weight: 474.6 g/mol

Sildenafil Citrate: C28H38N6O11S
Molecular Weight: 666.7 g/mol

As you can see there are clear difference in the carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen molecules which causes the deviation in the molecular weights.

The main issue is as I stated before, Sildenafil is nearly non absorbed by the digestive tract.
Once it is converted into Citrate (salt of Sildenafil) it is more readily absorbed by the body.
Fun fact: when you take sildenafil citrate, the body only absorbs roughly 40% of the doseage.
For example, if you take a 100mg viagra, you will only absorb about 40mg of the active ingredient.

No way to convert unless you have some good lab equipment.
Go on Google scholar and look up some patents on producing sildenafil citrate to see how tough it is.
Also, when you look at those patents it will explain how sildenafil is used to manufacture sildenafil citrate through a crystallization process.
It's pretty involved.

Also, not sure if this was handled through email or pm but these concerns were posted roughly 2 weeks ago. Why has the source not posted since then to address them and make things right? Should have heard within 24 hours how things were going to be fixed and they should be fixed by now.

No sure what went wrong, I think the stock updates had some delay which causes to accept orders without the heads up that it takes longer than usual. Send me a pm with your emailadress or wickr (through what medium you ordered) and I’ll check what went wrong and the latest update on it. Of course this is no excuse so my apologies for this!

Some valid points. The viagra reimbursement will happen. I’m not sure what’s the latest update on this even, these things are getting handled without me having knowledge in (except when I ask, which I did but had no knowledge of him being in the hospital for two weeks).

As for the testing, I have no excuse for it tbh. It got put (unrightfully) on the back burner due to the corona crisis as well as the vast amount of orders.

People still order because the majority of what we put out is good quality. I’m saying this without trying to downplay the bad things.

I pm’ed him when he posted here to contact us through mail. The two weeks of radio silence were due to him being in the hospital unfortunately. I took the radio silence as a good thing since those things get sorted outside my knowledge (unless I ask about it).

Okay guys, sorry for the "radio silence" while we were ironing out the details.
Some of the delay was on my part (hospital stay).

Just to reiterate for those who don't like to read through the posts.

I had made two separate orders of sildenafil from HUpharma. Those orders totaled 200 grams both of which turned out to be bunk.
I even sent it out for testing to weightsandmeasures here on the forum.

It came back as the parent compound of sildenafil and not sildenafil salt. The parent compound is useless until converted to sildenafil citrate or the salt of sildenafil.

In all fairness, I didn't pursue Huphama immediately as I should have.

Long story short, I lost roughly $300 on the whole fiasco between purchase price, shipping and the testing.

Since so much time had passed, HUpharma said the best they could do was a cash reimbursement of $140 or a $200 store credit. I debated a while and chose the credit.

I felt the offer was generous considering the amount of time that lapsed between purchase and complaint. The only thing I was not entirely happy with was I had to pay shipping on the items I chose from the store credit but once again, at least I'm getting something back from the total loss.

I will report back on the quality of the items I chose, turn around and anything else. Especially since one of the items I chose is a commonly faked item.

Either way, it will have to be up to the individual whether they feel HUpharma made good on this entire deal or not and whether or not to do business with them. Still, remember it was me who dragged my feet on reaching out to them and not vice versa. If I had reached out immediately, I am pretty confident they would have done better on reimbursement in full.

Either way, lesson learned and thanks HUpharma for at least covering part of the loss. I look forward to running some test on the store credit items.
