Mind you, I'm trying to bulk, and I am an EXTREME hardgainer, so I usually just eat everything I can no matter

I am eating like a maniac
9AM: 5eggs bacon and cheese on a roll
11AM: 1/2 lb sliced turkey and a 20g protein bar
1PM: 50g protein shake
3PM: Big Mac
6PM 75g protein shake with peanut butter and milk
7PM: Dinner - different every night, usually chicken, sushi, whatever mom makes
8PM: 50g protein shake
10PM: Grilled Chicken Sandwhich with cheese
12AM: 60g protein shake with peanut butter and milk

I think that is a decent amt of intake for someone on my cycle who has problems gaining weight.
I am 6'4 204 lbs, and I'm extremely cut, dont know exact bf%
I am bulking, am on my 3rd week, and have only put on like 6 lbs total. With dbol i put on 10lbs in a week, but with the drol 3 weeks has only put me up 6.
I train 5x a week, seperate body parts, all to exhaustion. My strength IS increasing significantly though.

I just wanted to post this, to see if anyone with a similar situation might have any ideas as to why I'm not really gaining. I also have a gut now from all the food I've been eating, but that goes away overnight while I sleep, and then when I gorge out all day it gets bigger and bigger then disappears while I sleep

BTW I forgot, I take a multivitamin, a mineral pack, a 2 serving vegetable pill. 300mg B12 + B5 + B6, 500mg ALA and Milk Thistle, [2] EFA pills a day. I take 10g of glutamine post workout, and eat vegetables whenever they are readily available throughout a day, if not I take a V8.

how old are you bro? how much rest are you getting? do you go out and party or drink alot? also you should try and find out how many calories you are officially getting.

Thanks guys so much for taking interest in my issues, good bros helping good bros...
1st Question, I'm 22, and I get about 7 hours of sleep a night, but i also take a 1-2 hour nap right after work / before dinner. And I don't drink anymore AT ALL... Been 4 weeks since alcohol has touched my lips, and I only go out 2 nights a week
2nd Question, Enough lol.. Right now im half way through a giant 1.5L Poland spring bottle, and i've only been at work for an hour... i'll go through 4 of these before 5PM

how many cycles have you done & when was your last cycle? what's your workouts like? heavy weight less reps? and do you work your legs hard?

Bro, by what you have listed there in your daily meals, you are waaaaay too low in carbs. That might be the problem. Your metabolism is burning up the protein you are eating for energy. It should be supplied with enough carbs that THEY will be used for energy, instead of the protein, which is necessary for muscle growth.

This is especially true for your first meal of the day, when your metabolism is at its fastest.

this is my 3rd, my last one was only an 8 weeker, i took off 9 weeks inbetween the last one and this one. I work out Chest monday, Back tuesday, Arms wednesday, Legs and light chest thursday, and shoulders and light back friday. I do less reps heavy weight, all to exhaustion... 4-6 exercises a body part. I dont work my legs that hard, b/c my right ankle was damaged severely when I was younger. All I do is about 10 sets of squats, standing and seated calve raises, and 1 set of heavy leg press

I thought I got a pretty decent amt of carbs. I forgot to mention my protein shakes are 1kcal shakes, so they have aprox 90 or so grams of carbs. Maybe the issue is not enough carbs in the morning... Should I have a high carb high protein shake as soon as I get up and skip the bacon egg and cheese?

I think you need to change your training. You said you workout till exhaustion. That is not always good bro. Quit going till failure. I think that is your problem. Try and count your carbs and proteins and see how many calories that adds up to. You should be atleast getting 4000cals a day, if not more. Your pretty much an ectomorph I assume?? Your tall and lean. Try and get 5000cals. BigKB was right. Need more cals and less training to exhaustion

I just started adding in virgin olive oil to my shakes, to get an extra 500cals per shake i hope that will help over the next weeks. I shouldn't run my heaviest set, usually the set i do 4 reps of to failure? I'll do like 290lbs 4x on bench, then ill rest a few seconds and do as many as i can again which will usually be 2, and 1 with spotter help. I don't think it's my training honestly, b/c i am always sore days after exercise, and my muscles are definately getting stronger, but i'm just not putting on the size like I've seen most everyone else on similiar cycles is.

You rest a couple of seconds inbetween sets? Is this right? Being sore means nothing, you can get sore picking up big rocks.

Sometimes it takes me until the 5th week to notice big changes and if you put on 6 pounds of lean body mass then you are doing very very well.

bro have the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich when you wake up, but on top of that have a big ass bowl of oatmeal (2 cups dry, or as much as you can eat) and cook it with whole milk

Also, I think that you need to add a similar sized bowl of oatmeal to those 50g protein shakes you are having, and throw in a tablespoon of flax oil as well

try doing this every day for 2 weeks, I bet you will be up a good 5-10lbs

blkout- this is just my opinions, not a flame.
First, I like your winning attitude and dedication to workout consistently, and the added strength gains.
Now, as far as carbs go you need them and i understand your eating everything in sight. But what kind of carbs you eat make all the difference in the world.
when you eat Mcdonalds, and consume mrp protein shakes, the body burns those fast over the next 2 hrs from consumption. I'm not saying don't eat them.
But you need to be throwing in from the first meal to the last meal on bulking long lasting carbs to get on up there in mass.
Eat lots of real brown and wheat breads and vegetables throughout the day. JUst like bulls graze all day in the pasture.
Eat more beef and chicken. Start off with one pound a day, and work your way up in qaurter or half pound increments, to the optimum need. Then when thats to little add another increment.
Fast burning foods such as eggs and mrp shakes are good and better then nothing. But once you start adding foods that last longer your blood levels are going to stay more level in nutrients and you'll thank yourself when you start seeing results in mass in the mirror.
The gear your taking will thank you too, because it's looking for a constant even supply of jet fuel to create a "freak."

peace, -f-

BigKB beat me to the punch. You look like you're on a damned ketogenic diet. As is typical with the "hardgainer" you think you're eating a lot and you're really not. Maybe it is for you, but that's really not that much food.

Also, your shakes are not 1k cal. With 50g protein and 90g carbs(where they come from, I dont' know) you only get 560 calories.

As I look back at do a rough figuring, the calories seem to be fairly high(higher than I originally thought) but with all that protein you can reduce by 40% since 40% of the calories in protein are used in the process of digesting it. Even assuming that wasn't the case, if you're not gaining weight, then you're not eating enough. End of the story. 5k doesn't work? Then it's time fro 6k. If that doesn't work, then you have to eat 7k. That's all there is to it.

Of course, picking up big rocks will also make you big. :D
