Insulin and bulk cycle

Hello everyone, I am a new member around. I am a male, 30 yo and addicted to lifting heavy (while trying to bodybuild).

I was thinking about jumping on an insulin cycle. I ve read about it (long, short acting, sides and benefits, most of the infos coming from this forum and mike arnold...). why insulin? because i am fucking tired of my chicken legs. I squat 550lbs, bench 385lbs and deadlift 670lbs. I ve tried an annihilating amount of volume in leg press, leg ext, leg curls, sldl, rdl, Bulg.ssq .... nothing those fuckers dont want to grow.

My calories intake are around 3700-4000kcal, I maintain around 3600-3700kcal. 50 to 60% coming from carbs and getting at least 230gr of protein. I do not eat dirty too much because i am voracious so kcal will be up. BW= 201 LBS, height 5'11. I do not know about bodyfat. I have veiny calves, shoulders, arms but my fat is around my stomach and tad on my back do not know what the hell is going on... I am scared if i diet down to see my abs, i will lose everything else strength and legs getting smoll.

I fucked myself up when i was young playing with peds so natural test went down. I put myself on trt (250mg of test C every 2 weeks).
I am planning to blast.
Npp from week 1 to 8 at 300mg per week

Test E or week 1 to 8 at 500mg per week

anadrol week 2 weeks at 50mg, 2 weeks at 75mg, 2 weeks at 100 and 1 week at 150mg

guess what? no AI i have never got gyno or any extreme side from estrogen so not gonna fuck it up with AI ( in the worst case, i got some tamoxifen at hand).

first time with insulin, so i was thinking about 50iu every leg day and chest day ( twice per week of LANTUS SOLOSTAR at 50ui in the morning) while bringing my calories up to 4200kcal on those day, 3700 at most on other day and 3500 on rest day.

program as follow:

day 1: squat 300lbs 12 reps x 5 sets, GM & Stiff leg dumbbells deadlift 3x10 and 15 reps, leg press 4 plates of 45lbs each side 3x15 reps superseted with 3x12 at 2 plates each side of single leg press, leg ext 3 rounds of ( full range, half range and one leg), leg curl and wide stance goblet squat 3x15, some core work and hyperextension.

day 2: bench press 10 reps x 5 sets @ 250 lbs ( will probably fail at set 3, 4 and 5 so will diminish weight to 225 probably), dips 4x12@ bw+ 45 lbs, dumbbell incline press supersetted with single arm dumbbell press 3x12, cables flies 3x20, pushups 3x max, flor press 65 lbs 3x10 reps, skullcrushers with dumbbells 3x15 and 2 triceps finishers ( they would be already dead as always so whatver comes). abs work

day 3: DL 315 (opposite stance) 5x10 reps, rows 3x10, snatch row 3x10, pullups 4x max, chinup 3x max. leg press same as day 1, hip thrust 2-3 sets and bazooka Bulgarian split squat with 45 lbs total on a smith machine.

day 4: Paused bench press 5x3 reps at 275lbs, front squat 260lbs supersetted with bulgarian split squat BW 3x8 and 3x15, 2 biceps ex, 2 triceps exs, core work and hyperextension 5x15 reps and weighted pushups. ( LANTUS ON DAY 1 AND 2).

any thoughts ? need a few pieces of advices.

You see you wanna get big legs but you say nothing works. However I still see in your new program you got only 1 day for legs. Didn't need to read all the text you wrote.
You just haven't expirament enough I had chicken Iegs and I tried everything but didn't work. Until I increased frequency that was the secret for me!
You must learn love leg training otherwise they won't grow much untill you take proper care of your legs just like the rest of your muscles they won't grow much.
The proper ratio for training legs are 1:2
That means for every upper workout you need to do two lower body workouts to match it.
Your routine is all over the place if you're trying to build muscle optimally. If you focus on powerlift I don't know to tell you much about it.
Also insulin on training days does work to bring up a body part.
But if your whole workout isn't based on increasing leg muscles I don't see a reason to run insulin.

I have experimented with frequency/ overall volume/ amount of sets/ amount of reps/ tonnage ...

if i do 2 leg sessions, my recovery will be shitty. My technique will be off for the SBD mvts, fatigue will raise quicker ( x2 freq same volume as freq x1 means less rest day which also mean i need a deload more often) overall when i computed that over 3 months, i found out that x1 a week is way better. I was also found of higher frequency but did not workout good with me. sleep +8 hours. I meditate a lot to decrease my stress level.

However, on day 3 it is also leg day biased and on day 4 as well. so here freq x3 haahah but does not involve high squatting freq.

Maybe i hvae a bit more fiber 2 who knows lol.

Did you try lantus brother?

Yeah but you talking about a strength powerlifting workout while you're having bodybuilding goals.

For bringing up bodypart Yeah is good

Depends what u mean by beginner. That s too much frequency (be still do not know you). The higher the freq and volume the harder u will recover...

Unless you do something like this : 6 sets x 3 reps @ 50% (to improve technique) and something @30-35% X 4 sets x 15 reps to improve your strength and hypertrophy

Do that for every 2 weeks to 3 weeks (until no flaws ) then progress by adding 5lbs every 2 weeks on technique days and rep days (both).

It will take you a year at least until you stall. Every 12 weeks take some days off (3 to 4 days).

Benefit? Your technique will be great, you will strengthen the small muscles with that amount of volume (low int) and u will get used to squat.

Insulin can kill you very quickly especially at the dose you are talking about.

In general, 1 unit of insulin lowers your blood sugar by about 50 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL). This means you need about 12-15g of carbs per unit of insulin. 50iu = 600-750g of carbs.

Have you ever monitored your blood sugar? If you don’t eat carbs before or immediately after you take insulin, you could become dangerously hypoglycemic.

Lantus is long acting insulin 24h l, I chose it because it is less risky to go hypo. Anyway, my diet includes tons of carbs so overall g2g. Been on it for 3 weeks now. I have noticed nothing except being a little euphoric at times. It help only preventing beta cells burnout accoridng to some experts. I am taking it to bring up some lagging bodyparts as powerliter

Sry to bump, but how has this panned out for you? You just ran slin solo w/o gh? Lol I’ve been on gh for upwards of a year now, I’m planning on incorporating insulin with it my next bulking cycle. I’m curious as to how lantus worked out for you, im planning on humalog or novorapid.

So many leg pressing sets in one day, how could it ever grow when you're fucking your shit off that bad everytime? I just do 3×20 twice a week and they grow fine. I should be doing it 3 times a week like I do chest and biceps, I just fucking hate leg press, I could really hit all my movements for optimal gains 3 times a week except biceps which takes some extra sets and drop sets, I just feel like fatigue would set in, actually I'm sure of it, so everything is 2x except biceps and chest. I guess I could swap one of those out if I ever wanted to bring it up.
