I've heard some say do it and other say dont it.

i know doctors have doctor-patient confidentiality agreements but I've read some people say that they can still rat you out to your insurance company if you tell them you're running gear and want your blood work done.

does anyone know the truth behind any of this, cuz id love to tell my doctor I'm on gear but dont want the legal ramifications to fuck me over.

its best to find a dr who will work with you some doctors hate the use of steroids, while others know if your going to use would rather help you be safe than turn their back on you,

"Rat you out to your insurance company?" Probably not so much. But if you want to provide your family with life insurance than telling your doc would be a poor choice.

wow never even thought that could be effected by my doctor knowing. so what you're saying is go thru a private lab to get it done then

I would go through a private lab. No reason to risk it. If problems arise while on cycle, I wouldn't hesitate to see your doctor.

Having worked in insurance for well over a decade I can attest that a Dr. isn't giong to rat you out to your medical insurance. The main reason behind that is due to a loss of money, if the your insurance were to stop covering you, which again is unlikely, he would be out because ou would no longer go to him and he would no longer get income from you. If you saw all the fraudulent moves I have seen done by Dr.'s just to make money you would rest easy.

All true, but if you drop dead from a heart attack or anything that could possibly be related to gear use and they find gear in your system, I doubt they'll pay out the full policy.

Also not all doctors will keep it confidential and you never know which one will unless you flat out bring up the subject. Plus it would only be good for one blood test. Because your doctor would have to give a reason to the insurance why you are getting so many blood test. Best to just fork out the money and go with a private lab.

I guess I've been lucky with my docs. Years ago, I told them what I was doing (they already had figured it out) and asked them to work with me and not against me. Fortunately, all of them have worked with me and I stay in pretty damn good physical health. I asked them about the insurance situation and all said, "it's not relevant, as they would not record this info in my charts. Do I believe them? More so than I don't, as I ask to review my records once a year. Some docs won't do it, mine happens to do so. All I had to do was ask.

By the way, I have my doc pull labs for me twice a year, one at my annual physical and the other at my 6 mon follow up. The other bloodwork during the year are done at private labs. I usually bring those to my appointments for their review. Freaks them out sometimes, but they have good about gaining a better understanding of AS use and keeping me healthy.

I learned recently, that my gastro doc and ortho surgeon are doing TRT and can't help but give them a hard time about it.

If a doctor notices something out of the ordinary or pulls bloods, ANY INFO HE GETS FROM YOU will automatically be placed In your medical file. He cannot legally choose what and what not to disclose. Everything gets put down especially when you're TT comes back at 5-10x normal levels Lol.

For safety's sake and for your own, just go private with labsmd or privatemdlabs. Much safer IMOIMO
