Is Insulin the real killer in bodybuilding and not AAS/GH

Why I'm starting to believe this:

The high profile deaths of Luke Sandoe, Dallas Mcarver, and rich Piana and many more. I think they're all insulin related.

In the case of Rich Piana, he passed out and went into a coma. I've heard people say it's because he took not enough insulin before a photo shoot that day. Insulin probably led to everything that happened here.

Dallas Mcarver, died and choked on his food.
Sounds an awful lot like insluin was a part of this too.

Luke Sandoe. His friends are literally suggesting it was from insulin use.

So I'm looking at it like maybe insulin is silently causing the deaths in bodybuilding in the background... Not the AAS or Growth hormone nearly as much.

 seriously?
Well whatchu got man? If I'm wrong tell me so instead of acting like a little cunt. The pin In this sub forum exposes you as a prick con-man. Who the fuck do you think you are? If you've got nothing too offer than step out of the way.

Jano said Seriously because its a pretty no sense message.... first, you wrote “Rich Piana died because he took not enough insulin”

if you die of hypoglycemia is because you took TOO MUCH insulin and not enough carbs.

Anyway, its impossible... they werent newbies that fucked with insulin. If you harm yourself with insulin is because you dont have a clue about what you re doing... eat 10g of carbs for insulin iu, keep always carbs on hand and youll be fine... kinda like this... they could have had heart issues, liver issues, kidneys issues etc...

The first part there was a typo. But you don't have to be a newb to mess up your insluin. I also think you're wrong to totally exclude insluin as the cause.

Death from hypoglycemia brought on by too much exogenous insulin is RARE. Will you potentially pass out or feel like you're gonna die? Maybe. But there have been instances where people have tried to commit suicide via insulin overdose and thankfully failed.

It's hard to present solid numbers because it's not something studied a lot. I found an NCBI study showing that 2.7% of people died that were brought the ER with diagnosed insulin overdose. That was one study so shouldn't be the final word on the subject. The amounts people used don't seem to be published. I did read one story where a diabetic injected 300iu of novolin and lived. I believe he/she was comatose upon arrival to the ER but fully recovered.

All that said, I don't know how much insulin those guys were using nor how much of other drugs they were using. Could be a confluence of factors. Off label use of multiple drugs can have serious and unforeseen consequences. Bottom line: I can't be sure but I highly doubt their deaths were due to insulin poisoning.

They were using insulin for years... and they werent fool enough to mess up with that... do you think is possible that they forget to eat? They went out without foods , went hypo and died?

Heart Attack... due to that lifestyle... cocaine occasionally... liver issues... kidney failure... its kinda thinking they messed up with an injection and putted oil into a vein...

Those problems stated above are so common at that level

There was a case where a girl stole some insulin at a party and injected 500iu.
Was hospitalized and made a full recovery.
I dont think these pros would accidentally mess themselves up so badly with Slin.
Nor do I think they're so fragile that they would die from something like 10iu tske with carbs.... and a girl would survive 500iu with no carbs.

Diuretics on the other hand, very dangerous

Yes it’s crazy all those millions of diabetics that die from insulin. Oh wait they don’t . But yea all those bodybuilders that die from insulin but the autopsy says heart failure. No doubt insulin is dangerous proven death is very rare from it. Other athletes have been using insulin for decades with zero deaths. I think most of what people think is internet myth. If you look at what you actually need to bring yourself out of insulin induced low blood sugar it’s about 5g of sugar. Look at the glucose pills diabetics take. Of course bodybuilders might use higher amounts but they also consume about 500% more calories than any average person. I would never say it’s safe but seriously show me an autopsy of any athlete that died from insulin shock.

oh yeah right diuretic are maybe the most dangerous... if you end up without potassium your heart cant properly contract and you die out of a stroke

As a diabetic myself I can tell you that symptoms of hypoglycemia become less and less as time goes on. As someone screwing around with insulin who isn't dependent on it, yea when sugar drops their body will go into a fight or flight mode where they'll sweat, become irritable, and act confused. As someone who dips over and over again I can tell you that these symptoms can disappear and you won't know it and then you'll prick your finger and your glucose will be fucking 40!

What all these guys ARE NOT SHARING is that they are in fact diabetics who absolutely cannot come off the insulin. You cannot shovel that much food down your throat for years on end, walk around at that kind of mass, constantly run high amounts of HGH and insulin without turning yourself into a damn diabetic.

I would not wish diabetes on anyone. God if I could go back to a day where I could just fucking eat and not worry about sticking myself with insulin, pricking my finger 5x a fucking day, or the mood fluctuations depending on how my glucose is......

Stay the fuck away from insulin, I don't give a damn if your Ronnie Coleman or Joe Schmoe, nobody wants to live as a diabetic!!

Now, something else I'll be happy to share with you all is that overall stress in the body, shit sleep and high cortisol levels, on top of overtraining and eating like your life depends on it, all fucks up insulin resistance.

The more insulin sensitive you are it seems like the easier it is to cut bodyfat. I always use to focus on a scale weight, I HAD TO BE 250+ lbs at 5'9 to consider myself a big guy. Nobody ever told me I could out-eat my fucking pancreas.

Diabetes does not run in my family, actually not 1 person in my family has ever been diabetic. If I could have done anything different it would have been to focus on becoming a more quality 200 lbs or so, rather than solely playing the mass game. That shit just isn't worth it sometimes

I’ve never used it but honestly for any of you guys that have how much of a difference did the insulin use make? Ive heard from a lot of guys I know that compete that they didn’t really gain anymore tissue adding slin than with just hgh and anabolics

If you aren't running it with HGH it's hardly worth it. Your body is only going to "supershuttle" so much shit to your muscles. If anything it'll make you fat

Wow. This is why I'm here, thank you for that.
