Is taking preworkout once a week bad for you?

Same here. Didn't notice the funky smell, probably a good thing.
The niacin flush was uncomfortable too.

i wound up giving my barely used container to a former coworker. That was years ago and was the last time i ever messed around with any pre workout powders.

Used it regularly without issue, but its like the niacin flush.

Though it does taste like ass, and I'd prefer a non-stim version.

Rarely use PWO for the gym. But 30+ servings for 15-20 is way cheaper than Rockstar and the like. Coffee kills my stomach anymore.

Would prefer to get off caffeine all together again in reality though.

Yeah, i need to do the same. Was caffeine free for the longest time, now my mornings don't get off the ground until i've had a cup of coffee.

As for the PWO's, i may sneak an 8oz sugar free red bull in there. (Got one waiting for me right now.) Don't think it really does much, but i'll take whatever placebo effect comes my way with it.

If you are referring to pre works being laced with caffeine then yes. It has horrible effects on the body. Especially these MEGA doses of stims people take. Including hurting cortisol levels etc.

If you are talking about a pre workout geared towards goals with zero stims but with nitric boosters then no, it only helps. Stims aren’t your friend to use daily.
 
I like preworkout. I typically exercise 4-5 days a week and I never mix a full dose. I typically weigh out 50% a full dose and sip it throughout the workout
 
Stopped using most of that shit just a double espresso and maybe throw an ephedrine in if I really need a kick
 
I make my own which has been great because you can mess with the doses of each ingredient. I ordered bulk:
Beta Alanine
Citrulline malate
Arginine
Creatine hcl
Caffeine pill 250mg

There’s no artificial sweeteners or extra BS. If I don’t feel like I need it, I won’t use the caffeine pill, or maybe I’ll do half a scoop of beta alanine. You can control it much better this way.

That’s cool. I should try that. I won’t lie I do love my PWO. Alotnof them are to strong for me at full dose so I typically do 1/4 and 1/2 doses/scoops.
 
I bought Woke AF the other day and tried it. I was tingling and fidgeting like a kid with ADHD in between sets. Does absolutely nothing for me workout wise. Do like the pump ingredients but not the stims.
 
Bought beyond raw LIT AF recently at GNC and it just makes me nauseous and gives me headaches. Really sucks. I really enjoyed BAMF by bucked up supps. The nootropic preworkout are my favorite. I’ve been strongly considering just buying DMAA capsules, and phenylpiracetam capsules, and using them preworkout. Pop one of each, a 200mg caffeine pill, and a scoop of creatine. Sounds good to me.
Using ECA on leg day has been pretty great lately.
 
I have been fond of the benefits and pumps of citrillne and citrilline malate. One of those must build in system. I take 1/4 of a scoop and mix it and sip through my lifting. I had to cut back. The full scoop had 300 mg caffeine and i was doing to much. The little 100 mg caffeine with added creatine, and other aminos along with pumpers like citrulline are good for muscle and the body. It really ups my intensity by like 25 percent. Allows all my soreness to go away faster in tha first 10 minutez of lifting. Its actually from myoprotein called “ the pre workout”
 
To be honest, I have never had any reason to use any pre-workout formula. Found that they are way too overdosed for the benefit they offer and most of the time have ingredients that are irrelevant with performance.

What I opt for is a simple caffeine pill of 200mg only in case I really need that caffeine boost.
 
If your running 2 cycles a year. With gear bought on the internet from a drug dealer with no chemistry background who brews it in his kitchen. You run multiple compounds and dose those compounds based on recommendations from a stranger ,not a doctor, who posts on a internet forum. Then trust me, your PWO is the least of your worries when it comes to your health.
 
Coffee has many benefits. Including research into helping keep Alzheimer’s away.

I think it’s more about the concentration versus how much daily so to speak.

Taking in small dosages through day such as the case with coffee versus say a pre workout with 600mg at once or a bang with 300mg plus the other ingredients is a big difference and the effects/stress it has on the body.
Exactly , should consider the all caffeine intake a day ( keep it under 400mg a day ) ... personally I don't like pwo with stims
