I guess the point some of us are making about the protocols is that whether they make sense or not, the protocols are set by each source, and as consumers we get to decide whether or not to do business with that source.
Show me a source that has lasted a decade, and I'll show you a source whose protocols I trust more than the less established ugl's who take the path of less resistance (because they are more in need of pleasing the customer).
If your protocols have helped you survive Gear Grinder, ORD, etc - and you have avoided being taken down for a decade - I feel safer following your protocols.
Again, a choice each of us have.
Oh I completely agree! If they take that much caution I feel like I'm safer dealing with them. When sources pop up begging for customer it sends me the wrong vibe. If a source isn't safe with their info they definitely aren't safe with yours. I just don't see the issue with following a few simple rules.
