Have this tested at Quest Diagnostics, blood drawn at Quest.
Have you been or you are on someting or medications that you would like to say.

liver panel
Bilirubin, Total
Bilirubin, Direct
Estradiol, Free, LC/MS/MS (36169X)
Estrogens, Fractionated, LC/MS/MS (36742X)
Testosterone, Free, Bio/Total (LC/MS/MS)
Dihydrotestosterone, Free, Serum (36168X)

Looks to me like metabolic syndrome due to poor lifestyle and eating habits. Need to examine eating patterns
Your pregenolone is low as well. So topical pregenolne TD 50 mgs a day will help all your hormones at.
Glucose tolerance test 3 hours - eat 300 grams carbs 3 days before the tes
your inuslin is out of wack and imbalanced.

I was on amoxycilling, 2000-3000mg about 1-2 weeks prior due to inner ear fluid and possible sinus infections. I went to an ENT and am having a CT of my sinuses this week. He said the rest of my sinuses look ok.

From what I understand, amoxycillin can do that to the liver panel numbers, I had same test done at the lab about 6 months ago, normal. Never had out of normal levels of that.

So a retest is a good idea.

I take singulair 5mg/day, nasonex and do sinus flushes. Otherwise, nothing else I was taking at the time of test.

Dr wanted me to take some B vit and adrenal support supplements and iodine since then though. Without blood work, she thought I had adrenal fatigue. I have a follow up next Tuesday and I wanted to have the blood draw done also to verify, plus bio-T.

Also, the blood test for E and T etc. like you mentioned is a good idea. If my insurance will cover Quest services I will go there, the place I went to is now a Baycare and Quest isn't the place, but I think if I need their services, they will forward them to Quest at the same draw place and send to Quest..need to find out. If they pay for Quest, will just drive to the closest and have it done.

Thanks for the reply.

LH is in the gutter, given your T. You're likely secondary. You need to re-test the LH, as it is pulsatile in nature, so it requires confirmation.

Poor lifestyle. Guess we would have to determine what that means. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I eat pretty well compared to most people. But I don't eat a bunch of vegetables and fruits that are organically grown, never eaten much in the way of veggies my entire life. Try to stay away from fast food. Work out 3-4 days a week when I feel well. Bike ride with the family several days a week also.

These symptoms of fatigue, lightheadedness, waking at 3-4am every night (like I am typing this right now) mental fog etc..have been going on for just over a year. First doc had me on antidepressants...I am not depressed, except for feeling like crap and these symptoms. Several doctors and a therapist agreed with that by talking to me. If you talk to me, and hear my day-to-day life, I don't have much stress, good job, good kids and marriage.

So you think I don't get enough carbs daily? I didn't post my glucose levels, they are always in the normal range. Guess that is why you suggested glucose tolerance test. I do eat a lot of protein bars, try to eat the ones with mostly whey protein, they also usually have a smaller amout of soy protetin isolate. They also have a higher amount of complex carbs and not much sugar. I usually make a high protein shake with 40g whey protein, bananna, blueberry or strawberry and pineapple in the morning. Just ice to that mix. Then protein bars the rest of the day until I eat a "normal" dinner the wife makes.

Maybe I need to get away from those and find another source of protein and carbs from natural sources instead of those bars?

Thanks for your input and reply.

Time for some action.

Do my blood test list.
possibly the Genova tests that I usually recomend.
In my previus post I was trying to save some expenses,
it would be better to get one decent testing out of the way.

Insurance will cover lab test, not a problem.

Got my saliva cortisol/DHEA back today.

DHEAS 7.4 ng/ml (6-18 for age range)
Cortisol Morning 4.3 ng/ml (3.7-9.5)
Cortisol Noon 1.4 ng/ml (1.2-3.0)
Cortisol Evening .9 ng/ml (.6-1.9)
Cortisol Night .2 ng/ml (.4-1.0)

On the low side these numbers I guess.

I have a follow up with my doc since the testing came back to go over it. I will report back what the Dr says.

If I don't like what I hear, I might just make the trip up to see Dr Crisler and let him order blood work I will then get done. Don't want to waste more time/money with the current wellness doc is I keep going in circles with no real resolution in sight.

I normally eat the Detour Whey protein bars and Promax. I normally make a protein smoothy in the AM using American Sports Nutrition Whey.

Ingrediant info of the Whey:

Thanks for the feedback and replies.

No offense, but the Promax bars are crap -- sugar and poor protein, including soy. The Detour bars are fine, IMO. You're better off eatting whole food, and keeping the bars for emergencies and occassional snacks. But I know what it's like to lack energy, such that food preparation is a task.

No offense taken, the Promax are gone. Just have to put more time into the whole food prep.

Met with my Dr. She said on the 24hr uring test the Testosterone is a Free number. So, mine is rock bottom.

I was apprehensive before my appointment, then we started to go over the results.

Not longer after, Doc writes a script for Armour to deal with my hypothyroidism and a compounded T-Gel 30mg 2x day.

So, I was relieved since all roads pointed to my hypothyroidism and near zero T. We are on the same page.

Wants me to take licorice root 450mg also, my cortisol is low, but not out of the bottom range on the saliva test.

Will see how it goes, starting on Armour, then adding T-gel in the near future after I get settled with Armour.

It was written for 30mg, which I don't know, maybe is a 5%? Plus is 2 times a day normal? Any thoughts on starting up appreciated.

Also, for piece of mind, I am having a CT of the noggin to check out the pituitary/hypothalamus.

Furthermore, got a script to do blood lab work for a follow up in about 6-8 weeks see how things are progressing. All the recommended lab work in on there you guys like, as well as my doc likes.

Thanks
