LMC Tren E/Anavar Mass Spec/HPLC

@Dr JIM would love you feedback on this. the elution times on both HPLC's seem really high, but ive never seen 45+ min tests. surprising the tester was able to determine the compounds from MS alone without being given prior information. it is to my knowledge that determining an unknown from MS can take some time?

An unknown determination (generally defined in biological systems as that molecule in greatest concentration that influences metabolic processes) wo ANY info is extremely difficult BUT is considerably less labor intensive and difficult when pure samples are involved.

However bc the technology, equipment, resources and manpower are so advanced and diverse truly "unknown identification" is only rarely accomplished by NON-Tier I research or forensic analytical labs!

Try to define an "unknown" in UGL AAS in which contaminants are rampant!

A chemist simply must have more info in such circumstances, besides "find the unknown" ,,,,,,,,, which one, lol!

is it possible to have truly 99% pure tren E? would this make analysis using mass spec doable for the tester?

nice graphs but the point is it can be anything.

let me give advice that those are fakes

oxadrolone mass is about 306 g/mol
trenbolone enan 382 g/mol

so the retention time for tren enan would be about 1.2 longer but on the graph it is 2 longer (50 min)

so it is fake, somebody knows how to use photoshop.

Simply comparing the size of all peaks one can see none approximate "90%" of the total peak height which is listed for "Peak 5".

Where is the calibration curve that was used to evaluate the absorbance vs concentration relationship?

Because wo a CC the relative concentrations CAN NOT be determined!

What UV wave length was used for the HPLC analysis?

What solvent was used for the LC/MS?

What solvents were used for the stationary and mobile HPLC phases

This relatively rudimentary data is rarely included in analyses of this nature.

The net effect however ensures many whom are even remotely familiar with standard HPLC, LC/MS testing rightfully skeptical of the results being posted.

FYI
Although there are many factors that may effect HPLC retention times, those TWO molecular components that have the greatest influence is the MOLECULAR WEIGHT and POLARITY of sample compounds

Yup, I was going to comment on brother Mercury's observation that polarity must also be taken into account

Can you comment on the rention time Jim? often we see 10-30 min HPLCs with 30 min as a "standard"

All the peoole on reddit just ate up the graphs! They know nothing about reading and interpreting, just eat up what is fed to them. Sigh
