Long time quiet member. Therapy help.

Yeah, that's legit lol. Never had a real ankle injury but I can feel it hurt! Miserable shit.
That’s hell of a thing to fall on you!
Man I can feel it as I looked at them pics!
Gruesome!

Well I’m glad your feeling up to this challenge. Slow and steady is how I’ve did my back. Low weight from multiple angles.

Yeah it hurt like hell for the first year and a half. I had to get a spinal cord stimulator to ease the pain but I'm getting better. The good thing is that I have a fast metabolism so I didn't get chunky or anything like thatlol. I maintained my same weight overall.

I was debating weather to do HGH or (IGF-1) but I got scared since I have never done those before so went with test-e. I'm super excited on finally getting some work outs down but I know I'll need to take it easy. I'll be posting progress about every week or 2 for other people in my position to read.

If you guys have any other tips on workouts or anything shoot em my way.
Bro the only advice I would have, is take it slow. We, you, them have no idea how you will respond. It’s just an unknown.
But on the good side of that, is exactly that, we don’t know, so that itself gives hope. And hope builds will, and will builds winners.
I just start low dosage, contain it to just test and re-evaluate after this cycle. You should learn a lot about where your at by then.
I’m subbed.
I like rehab threads.

Hey what's up guys! I've been a long time member but never posted anything. I have a couple questions about the situation that I'm in. I have done a couple cycles in the past and had really good gaines but I had a rough accident on 11/7/2016, a 1000lb pressure vessel shell flipped over and landed on my foot breaking 6 bones. The hit was SO HARD it left my foot 5/8" crooked!
8 constructive surgeries later I'm finally able to walk again but my therapy hurts like hell! 19 months of not being able to walk really takes a toll on you. I'm still on a cane at the moment but I'm trying really hard.
I started working out while I'm also in therapy but I got really bad muscle atrophy in the left leg. I want to do a cycle so I can build the muscle back up hoping that it will finally get me over this hump that I'm in. What would you guys recommend on taking and what source?

Ps. I have pictures of the accident so you guys won't think I'm bull shiting. But they're pretty graphic

You obviously have an ANATOMIC DEFORMITY that resulted in
altered biomechanics and ATROPHY. This is something AAS will NOT remedy at any dose.

In fact stressing a weight bearing chronic injury (forcing the ROM beyond it's NEW natural limits) WILL result in the one or all of the following

!) More LOCAL inflammation

2) The development of pain elsewhere such as the back knee or hip

3) The use of other substances such as NSAIDs and/or Narcs

My suggestion accept your disability, be thankful you can walk and follow the advice of those HCP who have a thorough understanding your condition.

Heck at least your have a legitimate reason to focus on the upper body and ignore leg workouts (esp calves) like many in the "gym"

I agree to an extend, I think anyone will get muscle atrophy when they have been on a cast for about 7 months in a period of 2 years. I have been working out for the past month and started the gear on the 1st and I can already feel my balence getting better:) I'm also doing cold laser and water therapy and with all those combined I can already feel a positive effect. I decided to take the dose to 350mg.

Progress note 4/10/19:
right calf is at 38cm
Left calf is at 32.3cm
Already a 0.635cm increase in 2 weeks.

Dr Jim, the excercises are going well with no sides at all. Swelling has been minimal but as expected in my condition. I took your advice on not forcing the ROM so I went to a orthopedic brace specialist and I got a custom carbon fiber brace molded exactly to my foot and calf. It's not completely solid but it does limit the force you put on it. I got it 2 days ago and wow does it make a difference.

Great idea on the brace but should NEW joint symptoms such as pain or swelling develop, it’s unlikely a good thing.

If your KNEE or HIP starts having issues
ya better heed the warning, bc in that instance chances are those joints are being forced to overcompensate for your foot.

And the end result of biomechanical compensation is often premature derangement, as in injury, of those joints REMOTE to an injury such as yours.

To that end it’s important your orthotic device corrects any leg length discrepancy esp when in the gym.

A retired marine friend of mine had a very unfortunate tour in the middle East... Stepped on an IED and lost both of his legs from mid thigh down. Lost a few fingers and, I never asked but, looked like he nearly lost one of his hands judging from one scar on his wrist... Very extensive skin grafts but looks good, all things considered. Fucking thing launched him 20' in the air. Woke up in Walter Reed and his wife had to explain to him what happened... He refused to believe his legs were long gone, not uncommon.

I lift with him occasionally. I showed up one day and he was there and he asked what I was doing that day. I said squats... He looked at me in a very serious mood and said, "you know, with everything that's happened with my legs and everything..... I can't help but feel blessed that I have the best fucking excuse ever not to ever have to do squats again. Kind of makes the whole thing worth it. I'm hitting shoulders." He proceeded to laugh his ass off.

He's participating in the Boston Marathon right now. Training for a triathlon coming up in a few months... He's a good sport.
