Keto is burning fats as an energy and keeping glucose levels at a minimum. By doing a refeed, your negating the benefits of keto, which is going to stall recomp and possibly add unwanted bodyfat

I feel you. But have you read the book on Metabolic Diet by Mauro Di Pasquale?
Is he full of shit?
 
He defends that once you are Keto adapted, the refeed won't be enough to take you out of ketosis. In his theory You should calculate your refeed once weekly to be just enough anabolic and replace glycogen on muscle.

Dunno if I buy this to be honest. I've used keto sticks and it didn't take much to get out of ketosis according to them. Why have the refeeed anyways? I know I have used them in the past, but why do something that can stop progress? I know people have argued leptin etc, and a few other things, but leptin levels only change for a short while after carbs are implemented since they are taken right back away. To be honest my best results were from just balls out calorie restriction. Refeeds, cheat meals, carb loading, trying to get carbs in pre training, always slowed fat loss for me, sure might save a bit of performance loss, but to be honest it didn't matter because it was a waste of time, better off just getting my results faster so I can get back to eating enough to get strength back.

I actually agree with you. I was doing 2 days refeed and it was too much I was sure bulking but not quality tissue. I reduced that to 1 day and next week had much better results. I will keep adjusting by mirror results.

While I am at it, Jesus I just received my UGL tren and fuck this shit is cloudy! I've heard that could happen and some people shoot it as it is. I might try running it on some .22 filters and check if it clears up. Is it really needed?

I've been in ketosis...verified by glucometer. And once I consumed carbs, I was out of ketosis in less than 24 hours. I'd been on ketogenic diet for over 4 months.


Ill take my results over his theory and assumptions anyday.
 
How long did it take for you to go back in ketosis after carbs? Did you measure?

In fact he says it will take you out of Keto but what he says is you will be back to fat burning mode real soon

My tren is the same way and it is home brewed. I have to shake it up before I draw. Really nasty looking stuff, but works. And yeah, adjust things to work for you. Done other more laid out planned diets by others and had to change things or else I wouldn't have reached my goals.
