Mass Spec Thread

Better clear out your inbox Forest :D

I have means to get mass spec tests done at $100.00 per sample for the following compunds:

Testosterone
Oxandrolone
Exemestane
Clomiphene Citrate
Cabergoline
Triiodothyronine
Thyroxine
Anastrozole

These are currently all the refrence stanards that the lab i have been working with has. They are all from Sigma Alderich. I will not be letting just anyone in on this. If you have not earned your salt around here i cant trust you and you have no reason to trust me. I will try to answer as many questions as i can with out giving up the lab.

I will be sending in some samples this week or next.

If anyone has some research chems from mjr and wants to know if its gtg or not i also have mjr caber, asin, clomid, and t3/t4 we can split the cost and send in some samples.

I managed to bottom page myself so maybe that will help camoflauge it from the casuals.

This deep into a thread like this i feel only the warriors have kept up with it.

OUTSTANDING CAPTAIN especially if this is the lab which analyzed the Oxandrolone sample you asked me to review a while back!

Seriously the one AAS I can't test but would like to is Var, so hopefully our efforts will be complimentary mate!

Yes it is Doc, thanks for helping me vet them before i decided to jump in. My goal is to help clean up shit labs. And assist my meso brothers in achieving quality and safe gains.

Specific esters of testosterone or all?

All of them. My fault for not clarifying. Am not sure about sustanon though.

Maybe I missed it here or your thread, dr jim, but why can't you test Var samples?

Good question with a straight forward answer.

The standards that are currently available are NOT compatible with any of the HPLC columns we
are using.

Capt lab is using an LC/MS with chloroform as the solvent and chloroform loves to EAT the type of plastic most HPLC columns are made of!

So there are FOUR AAS out of close to FIFTY the lab I'm using can't analyze, wo updating our equipment at a cost of roughly 23K!

@Dr JIM can we expect any new test results in the near future?

Oh wait I can save you the trouble
Trace, trace, none, zip, nada, low dose and close but no cigar.

The chemist is currently working with 23 NEW standards we just purchased and the process is very tedious and time consuming.

Once all these new standards are calibrated, gosh I hope by months end, more results will be posted.

I have 12 samples in the lab at present but until all the preliminary work is completed, there's not much more I can do mate.

Understand there are TWO primary means of evaluating AAS. The first involves de-esterification, which is time consuming itself, leaving the parent compound to assay OR evaluating the AAS with their esters attached.

Now think about that for a minute even though there are roughly EIGHT parenteral AAS in use today, when one considers there are as many as SEVEN esters that may be bonded with those parent compounds, we now have as many as FIFTY POTENTIAL AAS to test! Now that's a shit load of work calibrating all of those standards.

(Each requires anywhere between 2-8 hours for precise calibration AND calibration is one step that can NOT be simplified bc the results will be used as the BENCHMARK for ALL other SAMPLES of that particular anabolic)

Alternatively one could simplify the process CONSIDERABLY thru desterification! Yes there is a price to pay whenever AAS are de-esterified SOME of the anabolic agent is lost in the process itself. How much is lost depends upon the technique used but will generally vary between 1-10%.

And yes in an effort to expedite the process we were de-esterifying some of the AAS being tested initially, BUT now that we finally obtained standards for all the parent compounds regardless of the ester attached our results (concentration only) will be outstanding AND that's what I want and we shall have.

So please be patient guys bc once all the standards have been calibrated TWO WEEKS is the turnaround time I will insist upon. (Your damn right I can, have and will continue to push this lab, bc after all that's one benefit of being an pompous jerk with money i'm more than willing to spend for a job well done) :)

I really do appreciate those mates whom are working with me to get this done so ALL Meso members may benefit. And I PROMISE IT WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN AN EXPEDITIOUS FASHION IN DUE COURSE MY FRIENDS!

Regs
JIM
