Meso Movie Reviews

So for the guys who have seen them both, similarish movies, which is better to you...Equalizer or John Wick?

Im partial to John Wick just because his revenge was for his dog. (Sorry if that spoiled it for anyone)

I think I gotta go with The Equalizer between those two.

Equalizer is John Wick-esque? Nobody ever told me! Wick is badass.
Check out Keanu training for JW.

The Equalizer was awesome. Man on Fire, too. Denzel is underrated as an action star in my opinion, he does it very well.

Man on Fire is one of my all time faves.
I saw Revenant a few weeks ago from Amazon, I actually bought it, which is rare for me, I don't watch that much. People were tough as nails back then.

I saw a flick called '71 a few months ago, really good. Set in 1971 Northern Ireland. A guy joins the British army, and his first deployment is to N. Ire., in an urban war zone. Get's involved in a fight with the civilians, and accidentally get's left behind in a Catholic neighborhood. Hard to imagine that went on in a western country so recently. Gritty, depressing, but very good.

@Perrin Aybara good call on "The Revenant". That movie brought me to a place i rarely go. Sick

Same here, it's one that makes you feel something when you watch it for sure. Rare these days.

A Walk Among the Tombstones and Run All Night, both with Liam Neeson are good if you liked Man on Fire. Running Scared with Paul Walker is another good one that's often overlooked.

Is '71 on Netflix or Hulu?

I went and seen the shallows yesterday. It was okay. Everyone I went with said it was good. I would give it a 7 out of 10. It gets a 7 only because the chick is super hot in the movie and the director did a good job. I know a good bit about sharks so the movie would irritate me at some points. So it may be my knowledge of sharks that kind of ruined the movie for me. But it's worth watching if that type of stuff don't bother you. I would wait for blu Ray

I saw it on Amazon Prime. And yeah, Liam Neeson is a bad-ass.
When I was looking it up, saw that Sin City was added. I thought that flick was pretty good for what it was. Better than most.

I've been considering Amazon Prime. I just bought one of those Amazon Fire Sticks that supposedly allow you to watch a bunch of stuff for free, too. I'm interested to see how well that works.

Amazon Prime is the shit. Free shipping on most things, decent free movies, tv shows if you wait for them. I have a fire box.
Share Sling and netflix with my gf, works if you are not on at the same time. She shares HBO with someone. Good way to cut costs.

Have been thinking of a jailbroke firestick (look it up on ebay)

Gotta say my number one Denzel flick is Glory. I always get allergies after that last battle.
Second is Training Day.
But he's one of those rare actors where when you see he's in a movie you expect it to be good. I feel the same way about Morgan Freeman, Tom Hanks, and Matt Damon.
