I agree and I’ll have my fingers crossed for Smith, Lawler needs to KO Askren as well. Big fan of Lawler and maybe Woodley will lose too. Hopefully Diego beats Gall to a pulp. Such a good card on paper.

Holy shit, somehow the most stacked card in a long long time turned out to be kind of disappointing.

I agree Robbie Lawler is one of the most likable guys there is.
This fight should have been a great litmus test for Ben Askren's UFC readiness but all we really learned from it was two things:
1) he has a fucking G R A N I T E chin to survive that suplex to the head and ground and pound
2) the choke your older brother used to use to mess with you is a legit submission in 2019, who knew?
They def won't call it back though, and I don't think they should, that arm did go limp for sure and everyone thought so too before he sprung back up after Herb Dean called it.
I dunno man I’ve watched it a dozen times. Herb knows he fucked up and the announcers say right away it was a bad call. Either way it’s in the books.
