Sugar Sean definitely stole that decision. That's why guys don't like to leave it in the judges hands. Some good fights, regardless.
I have no idea how he survived that. He is the definition of tough. He should have pulled out of the fight though.
Peter Yan didn't fight smart. He kind of went out there and wasn't disciplined at all. That said, even though I don't like O'Malley, he stepped up and proved he is legit. I thought he was going to get destroyed. It was still a robbery though.
I think O'Malley was as surprised as any of us when he got his hand raised.
That's why he was kind of slow to accept the result and didn't want to comment until he watched the replay of the fight. He knows the truth. Either way, he proved he is legit, so it would have been just as big of a win even if he officially lost the decision.

Petr Yan got absolutely robbed blatantly in broad daylight. Sports turning into a political joke. No way two judges can be that blatantly blind without someone filling their pockets.

Petr Yan was a -640 favourite with 1 minute left in the fight. ON TOP of that, he scored ANOTHER TAKE DOWN. If odds were still active then the odds would have been -900/-1200 easily. Judges got paid off big time. Absolute joke. You can watch khabib freaking out confused how it was a split decision when they read off two scores… then when they said Shawn won, he sits up and starts like yelling how?? How??? But how ? Genuinely seemed scared these judges had Islam coming up. Dana in the post interview calling it “Razor thin” just goes to show this dudes probably got something to do with these pathetic decisions. They want him to be champ so bad. It’s all about money. Guys a fucking clown

It wasn’t just a few, he landed 6 take downs with 6 minutes more control time than Shawn.
For example: Gane had 63 strikes and Francis only had 43 ( to ratio more than Shawn) but yet, Francis had 5.5 minutes control time more than Gane with only a few more take downs and Francis won that fight with flying colours 49-46 score card.
Petr speaks Russian and Shawn speaks English and is highly liked by a huge population. That’s why Shawn won. That is all.

Maybe re watch the fight Yan did nothing on the ground so yeah i still think a draw would have been fair and to run it back for a second time but this is why they say don't leave it to the judges .

Unfortunately, yes, the show is more important than the result, because the money is made by people who are drawn by the crowd.
