Methylene Blue. What do you guys think of it?

I listened to the Rogan pod with Chase Hughes and that guy mentioned something like 2mg per kg of body weight. How is it even affordable at that dose ?

yeah, for a 200lbs guy that is like 180mg a day. I guess he'd be getting it from bulk vendors like SA and the late QSC. still it'd probably be like 10-15$ a day
 
To get the therapeutic dose that studies show works requires way more then i am willing to take so i choose to not use it.

I wouldn't reccomend that hight of a dose, as I already said in this thread, MB actually causes oxidative stress at 2mg/kg and is acutely toxic at 7mg/kg. The highest dose that is generally safe for medium-long term use is 0.5mg/kg, tho I still think that is a lot and shouls not be used for more than 4-6months MAXIMUM. Even at just 20mg you'll get amazing cognitive benefits and at 30-50 (which is very high) you'll get a good mitcondrial efficiency improvement. Tho if your goal was mitochondrial efficiency I think stacking MB with things like L-Carnitine, Mots-C, SS31 or SLU-PP-322 would be more effective. Or even just supps like NMN, NR, PQQ and CoQ10

I've been taking 5mg MB for about 4months now, recently I started taking only 6days a week instead of 7 as I think taking a day off every once in a while can be beneficial to resensitize the seratonin, dopamine & neuroepirephrin receptors. I find that I'm more focused, quick thinking and I can more easily study or do tasks that I find boring or I don't want to do. Like even when I have stuff I don't want to do, with MB I can more easily get up and do it anyway. Also better memory.
 
Mix the methylene with 1g vitaminC, after 10-15minutes it will turn clear. No more staining.

Wait. Clear MB means it's spent/used up. Might be reducing efficacy by mixing it with vit C:

Dosing note: methylene blue stains the shit out of everything. When it's used in your body, it turns clear. So you find the dose that makes your pee blue, then take a little less.

Blue pee isn't harmful or an indication of harm, it just means your taking more than your body can use so you excrete the rest unmetabolized in urine.

leuko methylene blue, is the reduced form of methylene blue and is less toxic, more bio-absorbable, and provides an instant antioxidant effect. It is a phenothiazine derivative that can be oxidized back to methylene blue.
