In for the ride MP!
BTW, I love doing paused deads right off the floor. Have you done them before this program? If not, whats your initial take on them?
Thanks for the kind words my friend, i try to be helpful and nice, but sometimes its hard lol!!!!How are you my friend? I've always enjoyed reading your posts. Knowledgeable and even keeled.
I haven't been around much lately and it doesn't seem like you have either INH. First time I have done the pause directly off the floor. I added them in because I was getting too far forward on my pulls and having the bar drift on me as a consequence.
I like them a lot for working on these issues. I doubt if I will go higher than 405 on them as I'm trying to keep focus on correcting the form issues rather than what weight I'm picking up.
I almost forgot about MPs home gym. Living the dream. Only thing I would add is a platform and a pole in the middle. For reasons...
This Sheiko routine I'm finishing up had me doing the paused deadlifts pretty regularly. Sometimes with two pauses. Never went above 440, but it felt like 540 with two pauses. I may try to implement them in my own training plans and see how they go. I know Pete Rubish is a big fan of them.
Yeah, my activity here has been intermittent lately - the real world beckons my full attention.
I really enjoy the paused deads right off the floor. I've been doing them since I watched a Candito vid about them. IME, they're great for working on technique and speed. In the paused position, I can feel exactly where my body is in space and how I need to move for maximum efficiency. Once I get that feel for where I should be and where I need to go, I start adding the speed element in. Its a great variation that everyone should try at least once.
I agree about not pushing the weight on the paused deads. As I mentioned above, IME, they're great for technique and speed.
I seem to have the power of that peculiar oscillation with the opposite sex. Must be a super power... or mental defect. Either way life has always been exciting. What's up brother. I'm glad you could get out of the women's section and join us. They've gone from hating you to loving you overnight. I have faith that you will be able to bring it back to hate in relatively short order.
