Need PCT advice after TRT

I have been on TRT for one year as follows:

Test Cyp 100 ml 2xper week (Wed am/Sat pm)
HCG 500 iu 2xper week (Mon and Fri)
Anastrozole .25 mg 2x per week (Thurs and Sun)

I have read alot of opinions RE PCT and learned that there is a broad spectrum of opinion out there. Some do not think PCT is necessary, however it certainly won't hurt and I would rather do whatever is likely to get me close to where I was before trt.

I am 51. Before TRT, T was approx. 385ish. What is the recommended protocol?

i would do regular pct protocol but prob make it a couple weeks longer but i would DEFINITLY do a pct if your planning on getting off. there is no reason not too

I don't really want to get off, but am having a terrible reaction to something and I have eliminated everything else. I am 51. Only other thing is a statin and I have done that for 11 years. Throughout the day I get flushing, pins and needles, and unbelieveble itchiness that does not stop unless I get focused, calm and apply ice to get really cold. Cold helps, heat and exercise/activity exaccerbate it.

I had a shot of test today. How long until it is out of my system. I jsut want to know if the test is causing my problem. Perhaps there is another option. Can I stop test and just continue with HCG for a couple of weeks? Any advice is appreciated.

And by the way, labs are normal. My Kaiser doc wants me to try Zanax, but this is not anxiety related. Other than this problem, my stress and anxiety in life are much less that they used to be! HELP...

Logic dictates that if your on TRT for having low testosterone and you want to stop your TTY regimen to see if the odd symptoms your having go away... PCT seems like it would do very little. Your test levels at that dose are already within normal range and you are 51 years old. I doubt that running a PCT at this point would help raise your natty test to any kind of normal level.

You would also be able to associate those symptoms quicker rather than cutting out test, HCG, and an AI, and adding in a SERM. You are talking about the time about probably a week or so time after last pin to start your SERM, then running a PCT then waiting 6 weeks after PCT for the SERM to clear your system too. Just my opinion and only about your specific case.

What does your doc say???

Well that sounds like a tough decision to make. Live with low T, or rash's pins and needles.
Maybe it's the ester or the carrier oil that is causing the allergic reaction.
Keep us posted on your results, good luck.

Well, I'm thinking it could be a reaction to Anastrozole. I really didn't consider that because I never heard of anyone having this kind of reaction and because I take such a small amount, but I have found a few blogs where a man or woman reported symptoms similar to mine. I usually pin test on wed. am and sat pm, and take anastrozole the next day. Well I pinned on wed., took anastrozole the next day in am, and felt the symptoms thurs and fri and started to feel a little better on sat. Did not pin as usual on sat but did take anastrozole on sat (because I took hcg on fri) and got really itchy shortly after taking anastrozole. Throughout the rest of the day and today (sunday) got itchy, flashes, pins and needles.

Now I'm thinking of stopping everything for another week or two, then resume HCG and test but use a different AI, maybe aromosin. thoughts? How long for anastrozole to clear?

It's a good bet that its the azole. I am using letro and am itchy but I'm used to it. I started a thread a little while back amd a few guys chimed it. Dry skin, acne, oily skin azole, muscle growth, pinched nerves etc all could be a part of it. I get crazy itchy on my back and just find a corner...FAST!! I would be leery to stop test altogether bro. I shower 2xs a day and try to get a chick to scrub it really good. When I'm single (now) I use the towel and scrub suoer hard and get the dead skin off. Good luck bro

Maybe you just have dry skin from the cold weather?

Switch out your AI for aromasin 12.5mg/day. Begin it a week before you quit the anastrozole. Then re-test 3 weeks later.

Also, what are your results for bloods on this current protocol?

T was around 1016, estrodiol had been dropping since I started one year ago, a few points each month. Did not notice until these symptoms arose and E2 was very low, was 6.7 ... that is when I split anastrozole in half.

Think I'm going to stop all for about a week or so and reassess. If symptoms subside, resume test 50 ml 2x per week. Should not need an ai at that level.
