New MESO-Rx member ranking system

Do you like the new MESO-Rx ranking system?

  • Yes

  • No

Results are only viewable after voting.
Messages to positive reactions ratio. If I have 500k posts and 100k positive reactions, guess what I do for a living: shitpost.

Time to log off.

I don't think logging off is an option for some people. It's a personality characteristic, or limitation of their psych/mental wellness.

God forbid you suggest signing up for some cooking classes or join a recreational adult soccer league where they have to actually leave their computer and meet people. Hard enough to get them to go to the gym.

How would you suggest modifying the system to do that, without starting a fight? I've never clicked "report" but don't think that is what you mean by calling out a shit post.
Reporting is for rats. I'm talking about calling out the specific posts. Sorry, but that is incorrect because (insert arguement). Arguements are good to dispell incorrect ideas. Saying "all his posts are shit" isn't citing specific examples or giving anyone proof said person is a fraud. After repeatedly seeing these types of attacks it seems more like they just don't like that person. I don't like a lot of people but my feelings don't inhibit me from separating facts and falsehoods.

As far as having "too many posts". I generally check in daily on the new posts to the forum while drinking my morning coffee. It's pretty dead. I like to digest new information on a daily basis and if nobody posts anything how is anyone going to learning anything new. Talk about "killing the forum". Well isn't that going to happen when the discussions stop?

people here are majorly hung up on this reputation system.

Fact check any and all information you take in from annonymous sources. This is common sense.

I think a poster like wildcat with an amazing physique sharing his entire steroid cycle and nutrition information is awesome. But I'm still going to do my own homework as should everyone else.

Sometimes i see your posts and I'm suprised thinking to myself this is some guy who's been around and knows some shit. It comes as a suprise because when you go off on seemingly unsubstantiated attacks like this you look like an angry obsolete dinosaur.

I never even noticed until Read showed up and started asking how to game the system to increase his status, and someone else bragged about how many members were following them (maybe Ghoul, I don't remember).
Come on, there was some good stuff in there early on, no?

"Pink letters", "known offender", "unknown member"?
No?
Jeez, tough crowd.

Of course you're correct.

I'd like to think at best I can add some food for thought to an individual's decision making process, but I wouldn't want anyone outsourcing their health decisions entirely to me, or any individual, including their doctor.

The best information I've gotten here have been the times, as likely from a member who registered the day before as an elite, that made me say "you're right, that's a better idea.".

Or coming across some random comment from a member who posts 3 times a year that completely reorients my view on something I was confident I understood, opening an entirely new path of discovery.

I live for those moments. I already know what I think, I come here because so many of the minds on Meso make it fertile ground to discover something new.

All I can say is that it's a fucking disgrace to people like @T-Bagger @QueenBee @biggerben69 and the rest of the hard earned Elites, to be considered by the people that don't know, that you are on the same level as them. @Type-IIx has contributed true scientific evidence, backed by references and after due process yet he is considered less by the ranking system than a ChatGPT user.

And here we are, where shitposting day in day out, with the help of AI and fear mongering, earns YOU a title that should be perserved for those that deserve it.

This place has turned into a traffic driven, shit show.

To all you gentlemen, it was fun. Time for me to disengage and redirect where it's worth it. See you at the Mountain.
@Millard I still think the old way of no statuses was best but I don’t care that much. If you’re losing members like this though… NARTA… it’s ungood

You weren't active (that I recall) during the GLP wars last year. The prevailing attitude was if someone didn't lose weight and keep it off without a GLP they were trash that deserved to get sick and die. It was vicious and they were personally offended by the existence of these meds. The degree of hatred was off the charts psycho, and to say something positive, "looks like these might clear liver fat", marked you for destruction.

Struck me as bizarre to see a small group of PED users taking that position, but then, I can tell you there were plenty of medical professionals who ooozed that same contempt and anger in their forums and IRL.

There's been a 180° turn in that attitude here from then to now (as in the larger culture), but some still harbor it, and are kind of forced into self censoring now. Damn near everyone's using them intermittently or otherwise.

You're right, they're dinosaurs. Do a search that brings up the oldest posts and start going forward. You see the same complaining about the forum "not what it used to be" 15 years ago from the dinosaurs back then.

The sad reality is there's no way to move forward without leaving behind those who've decided there's no more to learn.

i've gone back over some users posts that have gotten mouthy with me as far as possible and seen a lot of shape shifting, social conforming and echo chamber type behaviors.
Some more recently attacking new users for the same comments they were making themselves a couple years ago.
