Guys, Im off travelling in feburary next year for 4 months. Im a semi pro rugby player so its important i dont get unfit..i can do runs for aerobic exercise but for weights training do you have any suggestions?? I can obviously do push ups, sit-ups, tri dips, pull ups and stuff...but any other suggestions??Taking into consideration there'll probs wont be a gym within 100miles and will have no equipment...!?

Also on a tight budget the temptation is crappy food so any good ideas on decent supp's i can take in my back pack to help max my probably short and limited workouts abroad...??

Cheers

either put WPI or whey....in freezer bags....of buy a few tubs of protein and fill one to the top....

supps:
protein
creatine
glutamine
bcaa

I really would if I could but I cant. Im packing down real light and cant haul a tub of protein around the world with me for 3-4 months..I was thinking if there are any smaller supp.'s..??Tab's would be ideal..

For example, im thinking of taking some 6-oxo tabs to keep test up and reduce muscle break down...

What do you mean semi pro rugby? Eagles? Super league? D-1? military? non USA? I know when I travel to remote locations and don't have much room or a local gym I go to GNC buy Animal Pack (individually packaged) vitamins because they will fit in every nook and cranny available in your luggage. I also buy the pre-measured protein packs because they are flat and you can stack them on top of each other on the bottom of your suit case and they don't measure more than about 1/2'' thick each. And then for workouts prior to leaving I go to crossfit.com and look at all the past daily workouts and print off the ones that I will be able to do with the resources I will have. Take a jump rope and heart rate monitor and you will be good. And if all this is impossible I guess you could utilize the techniques of former POW's and just flex the muscle group for a desired amount of time (or take a muscle stimulation unit and crank it up. Another thing to think about is resupply, have family/friends shipping you more. and remember that you don't have to have a accessible post office I once had stuff shipped to me using a local bars address (make sure you ask the owner first). Obviously good food is not always easy to find but theres nothing you can do about it other than select the healthier of the choices. Hope this helps Ruck on, Rugger02

Thankyou Rugger, that was very helpful. Semi-professional rugby in England for a team called Bedford Blues.
The re-supply idea and the animal and protein bags. I wont be so limited i can do exercisers but i just wont have machines or free weigths. I guess i could use my bag as the weight or something..or my mate im going with.

Do you have any other advice on any particular exercises that are quick and easy ( i know theres no such thing but you get my drift i hope!)...

Cheers for your help guys...well appriciated

also one question ive been burning to ask for ages...how reliable and safe is take supp.'s through airports nowadays..?If i packaged loads of my protein powders into small packets and took them surely this would cause me huge delays at the airports as some countries may think im drug smuggling..??(stupid i know but you know how tight they are now..)
