Yep - kids wont like something if they hear they are healthy or good for you . Except these , lol. The stores ought to be selling these cookies instead of the sugar trash they sell . But they cost too much to mass produce , no profit in them ....~Ogh

OGH- You ever try chocolate with these bad boys? I never get Vanilla protein.. never really liked it.
 
I'm on my third batch of Ogh's cookies. Can't keep them long with the grand kids over so often this summer. They love'em. Last batch was made with chocolate protein powder. I think they are my favorites. Thanks for sharing and kudos to Mrs. Ogh. Job well done!
 
My girlfriend made similar cookies, but they were oatmeal, when I was bulking last winter. They were amazing to just snack on. I'll have to get her recipe and post it up for you OGH. She also made a low carb protein cheesecake last month that was bangin'!!! She's a keeper!

OK - heres my wifes killer Peanut-butter/Oatmeal/Whey protein cookies recipe . Its really just a classic peanut butter/oatmeal cookie recipe with the addition of whey protein and flaxseed meal & wheat germ meal . The meal slows down the absorbtion of sugar and adds fiber . If the cookies are too dry cut back on the meal , not the whey protein . You can also substitute Stevia or other sugar substitutes for a lower glycemic diet. These are around 250 calories a piece and 15 grams of protein . 25 grams of carbs and 10 grams of fat. Enjoy !! :D

~OGH"s Protein Cookies

1 stick real butter * 1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar * 1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup white sugar * 2-1/2 cups quick oats
2 egg * 2 scoops vanilla whey protein
1 tsp vanilla * 1 tbs flaxseed meal
1 cup all-purpose flour *
1 cup peanut butter * 1 tbs wheat germ meal



1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl beat butter,sugars w/ electric mixer until creamy.
2. Add eggs and vanilla and peanut butter; beat well.
3. Add combined flour,baking soda,cinnamon,salt,whey protein & meals.Mix well.
4 . Add oatmeal and mix well . Cover bowl with towel and let sit for 15 mins.
5. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons unto ungreased cookie sheets .
6. Bake 8-10 min until light golden brown . Cool 1 min on cookie sheets ; remove to wire rack . Cool completely. Makes about 3-4 doz cookies depending on size . I like big ones ! [:o)]

Made another batch of Ogh's cookies yesterday. Changed the recipe a bit.
Used 3 scoops choc protein pwdr
added 1/4 extra stick butter
used 1/4 cup white sugar to 3/4 cup brown sugar
added 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
added 1 tsp ginger
They came out really moist and chewy which is the way I like'em.
