Ole Fashion Push-ups!

Rambo

I'm with ya, you had the metal to become what few will ever be (RECON), the indoc's a bitch that separates the strong from the weak. No sense voicing our Military views here, these Civvies will never understand what it takes to claim titles. I started liking this site, until BOB started opening his mouth about something he know's nothing about the MILITARY, oh well Geezs guys.

Chis/"DO OR DIE"

ps. CHeck out the Mil.com site/good to vent with fellow Marines!

"That's just rhetoric."

Yeah, ramboj you guys and gals in the armed forces don't really provide any protection. That is just a bunch of rhetoric. Of course, apart from the "small" contribution that you made in WWII.

Rod, I think you lost your C&UA award to Chis. Sorry bro.

Chis, take a chill pill dude. I was just bustin Rambo's balls about bein a Marine, it was far from being actual defamation. I have a great deal of respect for our soldiers past and present. If you served (or still do), then God bless you. I thank you for the role that you have played.

To say that I know nothing about the military is jumping the gun a bit, wouldnt you say? Im not saying Im an expert in that area. 6 of my college roommates were in ROTC, one became a Ranger within about a year of graduating. The 4 that have graduated so far have all served in Iraq. A good friend of mine is an F-16 pilot. I know many guys current and past that are fighter pilots. Another is Navy Intel. As I said, Im not an expert, but Im also not clueless.

Rod!

Great Post bro, just a tick for your total Post Count or what?

ps: Okay Bob, I'm with ya bro. Gotta have thick skin at times/able to give and take. I'll be on the browse throughout this great site. But Bob knowing Military Members and being in the Military are two different animals. Chill pill I miss my juice can't get any over here so loads of time on the NET.All good fun, take care

No prob griz and bob smith the Marines Force Recon is the best out there! I was recon for 6 years, I guess if ones never served they will never know and all they can do is cut down those who earn the blood and guts and a hole lot of glory.

COME ON BRO. I aint downing recon but we (Rangers) did a training exercise down at the NTC in Fort Erwin and we kick there butts without effort. Now we did have 2 that actually attended Ranger School with me and they where pretty tough. But, they even admited that in a regular Force Recon Unit the training is not as intense on a daily bases. I believe the Dept. of the Navy puts all the money and training into the Seals. Also just a side note Ranger School is the only Armed force's school that all branches send people too. Air Force sends pilots, Para Air Rescue, Dept of the Navy sends Force Recon and Seals.

P.S. Bob I have a letter of recruitment from Delta also. I can send you copy of it. LOL (you know I will too)

Oh Yea I do Push-ups prior to my chest workout as warm-ups I think they are great for that. I also think something about doing your body weight is good conditioning ie push-ups, pull-ups, dips and jogging. I find it increase my stamina and indurance when I weight train. But thats just me!

Chis1361, I think that you may have misunderstood us (or at least me). I was really being sarcastic. I didn't really mean what I said, that is why I rolled my eyes like:  For example, in the above quote of myself "Yeah, ramboj you guys and gals in the armed forces don't really provide any protection. That is just a bunch of rhetoric. Of course, apart from the "small" contribution that you made in WWII." I don't really think you guys and gals in the military don't provide any protection. And I don't think that the contribution that the members of our armed forces made during WWII was small. Like that asshole Grizzly thought. ;)

Hey bigcaboi, I have a question for you bro. Obviously you have to be "invited" more or less to delta ;) but can anyone try to become a ranger as long as they kick ass in everything they do? Or do you have to be hand picked? My brother could answer this, but he's not here. Thanks bro!

Caboi will correct me if Im wrong, but I think you can apply for Ranger school outright. You might need your COs "sponsorship."

Actually you request it at the company level and it has to be approved by battalion. Most battalions have mini-courses to insure you have what it takes. It cost a lot of money to send someone to Ranger school and then they wash out the first week. Our class started out at about 400 ppl within the first week we droped to about 250 by the end we graduated less then 150. As long as your brother recovers from his injury's and can pass the physical he should be fine.

I heard delta was disbanded because they were not a secret anymore. Or is that just what they want me to think ;)

Cool letter. How come you didnt follow through with it?

Bro what they dont tell you in the letter is that you will never have a regular life. EVER. You cant move go out of the country without the state dept. approval. You are constantly monitored by them. You spend 11 months of the year in the field not being able to see or talk to your family. At the time I was engaged and didnt want to leave my fiance for 18 months of training.

Not sure Bro but I would think they may start a new division something more clandestine.
